When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
The Question That Exposes Your Faith
When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
That question is not just reflective—it is deeply spiritual.
Because in the Kingdom of God, what the world calls “risk,” heaven often calls faith.
Faith Will Always Look Risky to the Natural Mind
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Faith is not comfortable.
Faith is not predictable.
Faith does not wait for guarantees.
Faith moves because God has spoken, not because circumstances are secure.
If what you are doing feels completely safe, controlled, and predictable, it may not require faith at all.

Every Major Move in Scripture Looked Like a Risk
Let’s be honest—if you were there, you might have called it reckless.
Abraham left everything familiar.
Genesis 12:1 KJV
“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:”
No map. No backup plan. Just a word from God.
Peter stepped out of a boat in the middle of a storm.
Matthew 14:29 KJV
“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.”
Water is not supposed to hold human weight—but obedience defies natural laws.
The Woman with the Issue of Blood risked rejection, shame, and public exposure.
Mark 5:28 KJV
“For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.”
Her miracle was on the other side of a bold, risky move.
The Real Danger Is Not Risk—It Is Disobedience
Many believers avoid risk in the name of “wisdom,” but sometimes what we call wisdom is actually fear dressed up in logic.
James 4:17 KJV
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
You already know what God told you:
- Start that assignment
- Step into that calling
- Speak when He said speak
- Move when He said move
The danger is not failing—it is refusing to obey.
What If It Doesn’t Work Out?
That is the wrong question.
The real question is: Did God speak?
Because if God spoke, then your “risk” is actually alignment.
Romans 8:28 KJV
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Even when it doesn’t look like it worked, God is still working.
Faith is not measured by immediate results—it is measured by obedience to divine instruction.
Why Many Never Step Out
Let’s confront it honestly:
- Fear of failure
- Fear of people’s opinions
- Fear of losing control
- Fear of the unknown
But scripture answers all of that:
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Fear is not from God.
So when fear is leading, faith is absent.
Your Next Level Is Hidden in a Step You Haven’t Taken
Every major breakthrough in your life is waiting behind a step that feels uncomfortable.
- The business you’re meant to build
- The ministry you’re meant to start
- The boldness you’re meant to carry
- The life you’re meant to live
It will require you to move without full clarity.
2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
So… When Was the Last Time?
If you cannot remember the last time you took a faith-risk, then you may have been living below your spiritual capacity.
God is not calling you to be reckless—He is calling you to be responsive.
Final Charge
Stop waiting for perfect conditions.
Stop over-analysing divine instructions.
Stop negotiating with what God already said.
Take the step.
Because what feels like a risk on earth is often the exact step heaven is waiting for.
