Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.
There are seasons in life when God answers your prayers… not with things, but with people.
And for me, one of the most powerful things a “family member” has done for me did not come from my biological relatives—it came from my church family.
Not just individuals.
But a spiritual household.
When God Places You in a Spiritual Family
There was a season when I needed strength beyond what was natural.
And God didn’t send a miracle from heaven.
He planted me in a Church where:
people genuinely cared
leaders spoke truth without compromise
brethren stood in faith together
That environment became my lifeline.

The Church Is God’s Answer System
Many people underestimate what the Church really is.
The Church is not just a place you attend.
It is a spiritual family designed by God.
Ephesians 2:19 (KJV)
“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;”
That means you are not alone.
You are part of a household.
And households carry responsibility for one another.
What My Church Family Did for Me
In that season, my church family became something powerful in my life.
They:
Prayed with me and for me Spoke God’s Word into my situation
Encouraged me when I felt weak
Refused to let me drift spiritually
Sometimes, it was a message from the altar.
Sometimes, it was a simple check-in.
Sometimes, it was just being in the right spiritual atmosphere.
But every time—it was God reaching me through them.
The Ministry of Being Surrounded
There is something powerful about being surrounded by believers who are alive spiritually.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV)
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
The Church:
Provokes you to grow
Strengthens your convictions
Keeps you aligned when life tries to pull you off
That is not ordinary—that is divine design.
Covering, Correction, and Care
One of the greatest blessings of a church family is not just encouragement—but covering.
They didn’t just comfort me—they corrected me when necessary.
They didn’t just support me—they aligned me.
Because real love does not just make you feel good—it makes you grow.
Proverbs 27:17 (KJV)
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
That sharpening saved me from errors I could not see myself.
The Gift of a Spiritual Father
Beyond the love of brethren, one of the greatest blessings in a church family is the presence of a God-ordained spiritual leader.
Hebrews 13:17 (KJV)
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account…”
In my journey, God used the ministry of my father Reverend Olusola Areogun to provide direction, clarity, and correction.
This is something many believers overlook:
You don’t grow by isolation.
You grow under divinely appointed authority.
One of the greatest blessings God gave me in my church family is the gift of a father in the Lord. Through his teachings, corrections, and unwavering commitment to truth, I began to understand what divine covering truly means. It was not just about encouragement—it was about alignment, accuracy, and spiritual growth.
God used him to:
correct perspectives I didn’t know were wrong, establish me in sound doctrine and position my life under divine order
That covering preserved me from errors I could not see on my own.
A Family That Stands in the Spirit
Biological families can support you naturally.
But a church family fights for you spiritually.
They:
Stand in prayer
Engage battles you may not even be aware of
Declare God’s Word over your life
And sometimes, that is the difference between falling and standing.
What This Taught Me
That experience redefined family for me.
I learned that:
The Church is not optional—it is essential
Spiritual relationships are destiny connectors
God plants you where your life will be preserved
And most importantly:
You don’t just attend church—you must belong and be planted.
A Call to Reflection
Look around you.
Your church family is not accidental.
Someone there:
is praying for you
is strengthening you
is part of God’s plan to keep you standing
And the question is:
Are you also playing your part in that family?
✨ An Invitation to Join a Living Church Family
This is why I do not take spiritual covering lightly.
Through the ministry of Reverend Olusola Areogun, I have personally experienced how God uses a set man to guide, preserve, and raise people into destiny.
If you are reading this and you are not yet planted in a Church, this is your moment.
God never designed you to walk this journey alone.
You need:
spiritual covering
sound teaching
a family that will stand with you

Final Charge
Don’t be a spectator in God’s house.
Be a contributor.
Be the one who:
encourages prays strengthens others
Because the same way God used your church family for you…
He wants to use you for someone else.
Psalm 92:13 (KJV)
“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.”
Flourishing is not accidental.
It is the result of being planted.
