“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy.
But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!”
— John 10:10 (TPT)
A Divine Word for a Divine Day
This verse came to me through Mummy Rev. Oyenike Areogun, my mother in the Lord—an authentic, anointed Prophet of God—on a day that now carries a prophetic double meaning: 10/10, her birthday and mine.
As she declared this scripture, it resounded in my spirit and prospered my soul. My heart filled with joy unspeakable. I knew heaven was announcing a new chapter. Indeed, the Divine and the Good will multiply X10 in my life in Jesus’ name!
Exploring John 10:10 in Four Versions
Each translation of this scripture sheds more light on the heart of Jesus for His people.
🔹 The Passion Translation (TPT)
“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!”
This version emphasizes abundance beyond expectation. Jesus doesn’t just restore what the thief stole—He multiplies it until we overflow.
🔹 Amplified Classic (AMPC)
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”
Here, the focus is not only on having life, but also on enjoying it. The God-kind of life—zoe—is not a struggle; it is a divine enjoyment rooted in fellowship with God and obedience to His Word.
🔹 The Message (MSG)
“A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”
This makes it clear: life in Christ is real, eternal, and better than your dreams. Every limitation is broken when the Shepherd leads you.
🔹 New Living Translation (NLT)
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
In this rendering, the word satisfying captures the peace, purpose, and contentment that come from walking with Jesus. True satisfaction can never be found outside Him.
A Prophetic Word for a New Season
As Daddy Rev. Olusola Areogun prayed over me, the atmosphere was electrifying. Every word landed as a divine decree:
“Congratulations on 50. Welcome to the fifth floor. It’s a decade of grace. You will not repeat any negative ancestry. Your 50s will be a manifestation of Divine Grace.
Enlightenment of your inner man will come.
The things of destiny will take over from things of ancestry.
Anything missed in the past years will come to you.
You will not die but live and declare the works of God.
The hand of God will be good upon you.
You will outdraw all opposition.
Your 60s will be better than all the years before.”
Every word was a seal over my life—a pronouncement of divine abundance, divine grace, and divine preservation.
Overflowing Life — A Call to Every Believer
John 10:10 is not only a promise—it is an invitation.
Jesus is calling every believer to live above theft, destruction, and limitation.
The thief steals—but you can recover through revelation. The thief kills—but Jesus restores through resurrection power. The thief destroys—but Jesus rebuilds through divine purpose.
The abundant life of Christ is not about possessions, but possession by the Spirit.
It is the full expression of divine grace at work in a yielded vessel.
My Confession
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to give me life in its fullness.
I receive Your abundance in every area—spirit, soul, and body.
I overflow with grace, wisdom, favour, and fruitfulness.
The thief will not find room in my life.
I live the life of Christ in victory and in joy, every day.
Amen.
Conclusion
This 10/10 is a divine marker—of overflowing life, new beginnings, and heavenly multiplication.
As I share this date with my mother in the Lord, Rev. Oyenike Areogun, I know it is not by coincidence but by covenant alignment.
The Divine and the Good will multiply X10 in your life in Jesus’ name!
Let this word quicken your spirit as it did mine—step into the fullness of the abundant life that Jesus came to give.
