The call of God into ministry is powerful, but it does not automatically produce spiritual maturity in the life of a pastor. A minister may successfully guide many people into their destinies while neglecting his own personal spiritual growth. Scripture repeatedly warns that preaching to others must never replace personal discipline, study, prayer, and intimacy with God.
