“What Will Bear Your Name When You Are Gone?”

If you could have something named after you, what would it be?

There is a question that sounds simple… but carries eternal weight:

“If something could be named after you… what would it be?”

A building?

A scholarship?

A company?

A street?

Most people think of visibility.

God thinks of eternity.

Heaven Does Not Name Things the Way Earth Does

On earth, names are given to those who achieved.

In heaven, names are remembered by those who obeyed.

The greatest tragedy is not dying unknown…

It is being known on earth and forgotten in heaven.

Jesus said:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

— Matthew 7:21 (KJV)

So the real question is not:

👉 “What will be named after me?”

But:

👉 “What did I live for that God will remember?”

Your Life Is Already Writing Its Name

Whether you realise it or not, your life is already becoming a title.

Some people will be remembered as:

The one who chased money

The one who chased applause

The one who chased comfort

But a few…

A dangerous few…

Will be remembered as:

The one who obeyed God when it was costly

The one who stood for truth when it was unpopular

The one who carried fire when others played religion

God Names Legacies Differently

In Scripture, God didn’t just remember names—He attached meanings to lives.

“And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”

— Genesis 5:24 (KJV)

Enoch didn’t build cities.

He didn’t lead armies.

But heaven named his life:

👉 “He walked with God.”

What if that was your legacy?

Not:

But:

👉 “He pleased God.”

👉 “She carried His presence.”

The Only Name That Truly Lasts

The Bible reveals something sobering:

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God… and the books were opened… and another book was opened, which is the book of life.”

— Revelation 20:12 (KJV)

There are many books…

But only one name truly matters:

👉 Is your name written in the Book of Life?

Because one day:

Titles will expire Achievements will fade Applause will be silenced

But eternity will speak.

So What Should Be Named After You?

Not a building.

Not a brand.

Not a moment.

Let heaven say:

✨ “A life surrendered.”

✨ “A vessel yielded.”

✨ “A soul that walked with God.”

Paul said it this way:

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

— Philippians 1:21 (KJV)

That is a life worth naming.

Final Charge 🔥

If your name disappears from history…

but echoes in eternity…

You have not lost.

You have WON.

So live in such a way that when heaven speaks your name…

It doesn’t just recall you.

👉 It recognizes you.
