What’s Your Favourite Month of the Year? Why?

What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?

A Christian Devotional Reflection

From childhood to adulthood, everyone tends to have that one month that carries a special weight in their heart. Some love December because of Christmas. Others love April because of Easter. Some love their birth month. But as believers, our favourite month is deeper than sentiment—it is often tied to a revelation of God we encountered in that season.

If you truly think about it, your favourite month may not simply be about the weather, the colours of autumn, or the celebrations. Sometimes, your heart is drawn to a month because God visited you in that season. A divine encounter. A breakthrough. A healing. A call. A turning point. A deliverance. A word that shifted the direction of your life.

1. God Works in Seasons

The Bible reminds us:

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

— Ecclesiastes 3:1

God is intentional with moments. No month is ordinary when God steps into it.

God doesn’t just operate in seconds and minutes—He moves in seasons.

There are months of planting, months of pruning, months of rest, and months of divine visitation. Sometimes your favourite month is the one where heaven’s cycle turned in your favour.

2. Your Favourite Month Reveals a Testimony

For many Christians, a favorite month is often connected to an unforgettable God-moment:

The month they were saved

The month they were filled with the Holy Ghost

The month they received a calling or direction

The month a long-awaited prayer was answered

The month God delivered or healed them

The month God opened a new chapter after a season of pain

David said:

“This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.”

— Psalm 118:23

The month that carries God’s “doing” naturally becomes your celebration month.

3. God Intends for Every Month to Become Meaningful

While we may have a favourite month, Scripture teaches that every month can become a doorway to divine blessing.

Sometimes your favourite month is the one where:

You got born again

God healed you

A prophecy came to pass

God delivered you from danger

You heard His voice clearly

You received direction for the next phase of life

God opened a door you never expected

God told Israel:

“This month shall be unto you the beginning of months.”

— Exodus 12:2

Meaning:

God can turn an ordinary month into the beginning of a new life chapter.

A single encounter with God can transform an ordinary month into a spiritual memorial. God has the power to turn any month into the beginning of a new life chapter.

4. Your Favourite Month Should Point You Back to God, Not Just Memory

Whatever month stands out to you, let it be for this reason:

It reminds you of the faithfulness of God.

Whatever month you love most, let it be because it reminds you of the faithfulness of God.

For the believer, every testimony month becomes an altar of remembrance.

A believer’s calendar is not merely a cycle of dates—it’s a timeline of divine intervention.

5. A Month to Rededicate to God

Perhaps your favorite month is still ahead of you. God may be preparing a visitation that will redefine your story.

Whether your heart gravitates toward January, April, August, or December…

Let this be your declaration:

“My times are in Your hands.”

— Psalm 31:15

Conclusion: The Month God Has Marked

So… what’s your favorite month of the year?

The real answer for a believer is this:

“My favorite month is the month where God draws near—the month where His voice is loudest, His presence is strongest, and His purpose becomes clearer.”

Because when God marks a month, it becomes more than a date—it becomes a monument of His faithfulness.

The month God will visit you in a new way…

The month He will speak to you clearly…

The month a prophecy will be fulfilled…

The month a dry bone will rise again…

The month salvation will come to your household…

That month will become your favorite, not because of feelings, but because of God’s move.

🌟 SALVATION PRAYER

If you are reading this and you want to make this month the most important month of your life by surrendering to Jesus, pray this from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I come to You today.

I believe You died for me and rose again.

I confess You as my Lord and Saviour.

Wash me with Your blood.

Give me a new heart and a new life.

From today, I belong to You.

Thank You for saving me.

Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer sincerely, today becomes your covenant memorial before God—your new beginning.
