“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.”
📖 Exodus 20:16 (KJV)
1️⃣ THE SIN OF MISREPRESENTATION
We live in a digital generation where influence can be manufactured, and fame can be faked.
Many have turned social media into a theatre of deception—creating fake pages, cloning genuine ministries, and using the names or images of true servants of God to attract attention, solicit funds, or appear connected to authority figures they have no real relationship with.
But the Bible calls this what it truly is — lying and bearing false witness.
📖 Proverbs 19:5 (AMP) says:
“A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.”
In God’s eyes, digital lies are still lies. Whether on a pulpit or a profile, truth remains sacred. Misrepresentation is not innovation — it’s iniquity.
2️⃣ GOD’S STANDARD HAS NOT CHANGED
Technology has evolved, but truth has not.
In both Old and New Testaments, God takes false representation very seriously.
📖 Acts 5:3–5 (KJV)
“But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?… thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost.”
When Ananias and Sapphira lied for appearance’s sake, they died for dishonouring the Spirit of Truth.
Likewise, those who build fake online reputations or impersonate true servants of God for gain or recognition are aligning with the same deceptive spirit that worked in the devil — “the father of lies” (John 8:44).
3️⃣ THE CURSE OF FALSEHOOD
📖 Proverbs 12:19 (TPT)
“Truth will last forever, but lies are only for a moment.”
Every fake account built on deceit may grow fast — but it cannot last long.
God Himself will expose and judge such works. He has promised to defend His servants and ministries.
📖 Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord…”
There is a divine law that governs this: whatever is built on lies will collapse under the weight of truth.
4️⃣ WHEN YOU MISUSE A HOLY NAME
It is even more dangerous when deception is done in the name of the Lord or by using the names of His anointed.
📖 Jeremiah 23:30–32 (MSG)
“I’m against the prophets who steal my words from one another. I’m against the prophets who take credit for messages I never gave them. They make up stuff and sell it as God’s Word. I never sent them, never commanded them. They do nothing for this people. Nothing at all!”
This is exactly what happens when someone opens a fake ministry account or page using the image of a true servant of God — to speak, post, or collect funds in their name. It is a spiritual theft and a misuse of divine identity.
Such people are not just offending humans — they are provoking divine judgment.
5️⃣ THE JUDGMENT OF THE LORD
📖 Romans 2:2 (NIV)
“Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.”
When men manipulate truth, they invite judgment.
Deception always carries consequences — spiritually, morally, and even legally.
Many destinies have been cut short because they tried to climb on the name or image of another.
📖 Galatians 6:7 (KJV)
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Every falsehood sown on social media will reap exposure, disgrace, and divine correction — unless repented of.
6️⃣ THE CALL TO REPENTANCE
Beloved, if you have ever created fake pages, impersonated ministers, or spread false information for personal gain — repent now.
Delete those pages, confess your sin before God, and make restitution where necessary.
📖 Proverbs 28:13 (NLT)
“People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.”
God is merciful, but His mercy does not ignore truth. You cannot hide behind anonymity — God sees IP addresses the way He sees hearts.
7️⃣ STAND FOR TRUTH
As believers, we must guard the integrity of the gospel online.
Don’t share or follow fake pages that impersonate God’s servants. Verify, report, and pray for discernment.
Be part of the generation that spreads truth, not confusion.
📖 Ephesians 4:25 (TPT)
“So discard every form of dishonesty and lying, so that you will be known as one who always speaks the truth, for we all belong to one another!”
🕊️ THE SALVATION CALL

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
