Every few years, a new voice arises claiming to have discovered the exact date of the rapture of the Church. Recently, a false prophet has declared that the rapture will take place on 24th September 2025. But as children of God, we must measure every claim by the unfailing Word of God.

The Bible warns us plainly:
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” — Matthew 24:36 (KJV)
Jesus Himself told us that no human being knows the date of His return—not even the angels. Any prophet or teacher who sets a date directly contradicts the words of the Lord Jesus. That is not just an error; it is deception.

1. Jesus Taught Us to Be Ready, Not to Calculate Dates
In Matthew 24:42, Jesus said:
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”
The emphasis is always on watchfulness and readiness, not on guessing or predicting a date. If we knew the exact day, many would live carelessly until that deadline approached. But God calls us to daily holiness, daily fellowship, and daily obedience.
2. False Predictions Bring Confusion and Shame

Throughout history, false prophets have predicted dates for Christ’s return. Each time, disappointment follows, and unbelievers mock the truth of Scripture. This is why Peter warned:
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?” — 2 Peter 3:3–4 (KJV)
When people set false dates, they give ammunition to scoffers. But God’s promises remain true. The delay is not denial; it is mercy, giving people more time to repent (2 Peter 3:9).
3. The True Signs of Christ’s Coming Are Spiritual, Not a Calendar Date
The Bible tells us what to watch for—not a date but the signs:
• Increasing lawlessness (Matthew 24:12)
• The gospel being preached in all nations (Matthew 24:14)
• A great falling away and rise of deception (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
• Growing persecution of true believers (Matthew 24:9–10)
These signs are evident today. They are reminders that the rapture is nearer than ever, but they do not pinpoint a day.
4. How Should We Live in Light of the Rapture?
Instead of obsessing over dates, Paul instructs us:
“So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” — Hebrews 9:28 (NKJV)
And John reminds us:
“And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” — 1 John 3:3 (KJV)
Our duty is to live holy, Spirit-filled lives, serve the Lord faithfully, preach the gospel, and be ready—whether He comes today, tomorrow, or in a thousand years.
5. Reject the Lie, Embrace the Truth
If anyone declares “the rapture will be on September 24, 2025,” they are lying against Scripture. The Bible already exposed them. Jesus said:
“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.” — Matthew 24:23 (KJV)
The true Shepherd’s voice will never contradict the Bible. Let us hold fast to God’s Word, stay discerning, and not be tossed to and fro by every false prophecy.
Exhortation

Beloved, the rapture is certain. Jesus is coming again. But the timing is hidden in God’s wisdom. Our role is not to chase predictions, but to remain faithful and ready.
So let us:
• Reject false prophets and date-setters.
• Stay rooted in Scripture.
• Live in daily expectation of Christ’s return.
• Use the time we have to win souls and strengthen the Church.
Maranatha! The Lord is coming soon. Let Him find us faithful.
