In our journey as adults, the choices we make aligning with Divine Counsel or diverging from it carry profound consequences. The belief that we can venture far without God often leads us to a point of realization, a juncture where we must acknowledge our need for Him, irrespective of the path we’ve taken.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV):
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
It’s not uncommon for individuals to question the reasons behind their challenges, often without reflecting on their relationship with God. Those who haven’t earnestly walked with Him may find themselves bewildered, attributing their struggles to an unjust fate.
Jeremiah 29:13 (AMP):
“Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
To understand the adversities we face, we must examine our dedication to God in times of ease. It’s crucial to avoid a pattern of crisis-driven faith, where prayers and service to God only intensify in the midst of challenges.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV):
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Living from crisis to crisis prompts a fundamental question: What were we doing with our time for God when there was no crisis? A sincere evaluation may reveal that dedicating time to prayer, service, and seeking God consistently, rather than intermittently, is the key to a more stable and fulfilling life.
Psalm 105:4 (AMP):
“Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually.”
In conclusion, let us embrace a lifestyle of unwavering faith, walking with God consistently. By prioritizing our relationship with Him in times of calm, we build a foundation that sustains us through the storms of life. May our devotion be a continuous journey, not just a response to crises, as we seek His guidance and grace in all things.
