What are you doing this evening?
As the sun sets and the world quiets down, have you ever asked yourself, “What are you doing this evening?” For many of us, evenings can be a time to unwind, catch up on chores, or simply relax. However, for those who are part of the Lifeoasis International Church, Dream Centre
https://lifeoasisinternationalchurch.org/, evenings take on a deeper meaning. It’s a time when we seek to nurture our intimacy with God.
In a world filled with distractions and busyness, it’s easy to lose sight of our spiritual journey. But as Christians, we are called to prioritize our relationship with God above all else. As Psalm 63:1 reminds us, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Our souls long for that intimate connection with our Creator.
Every evening, members of Lifeoasis International Church, Dream Centre, make a conscious choice to draw nearer to God. Whether it’s through all-night prayers, church services, or special programs, we understand the importance of dedicating our evenings to the One who sustains us.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus emphasizes the significance of seeking God wholeheartedly: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). When we put God first in our evenings, we align our priorities with His divine will, trusting that He will provide for our needs.
Furthermore, the Apostle Paul encourages us in Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Through our evening prayers and worship, we find peace that transcends worldly concerns.
Intimacy with God is not just an option; it’s a necessity. In the hustle and bustle of life, our evenings offer us a sacred space to deepen our connection with the Almighty. It’s a time when we lay our burdens at His feet, seek His guidance, and bask in His love and presence.
So, the next time someone asks you, “What are you doing this evening?” remember the words of Psalm 119:147-148: “I rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope in your words. My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promise.” Let your evening be a time of spiritual awakening and communion with God.
In conclusion, as members of Lifeoasis International Church, Dream Centre, we cherish our evenings as opportunities to grow closer to God. Through prayer, worship, and seeking His kingdom, we nurture our intimacy with Him. May our evenings be a testimony of our unwavering faith and devotion to the One who gives meaning to our lives.
