Finding Peace in God: Letting Go of Worries

Worrying is not from God; there is nothing Divine about it. So, if it’s not from God, who is it from? You, Others, or the Devil? Worrying does you no good but is a whole lot of evil, stealing your peace, killing your hope, and destroying your mind.

In Matthew 6:27, Jesus reminds us, “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Worrying accomplishes nothing, and it’s not in alignment with God’s plan for our lives.

So, how do you deal with worries if you already have them or are about to have them?

**1. Cast Your Burdens Upon God**

If you already have worries, cast them down at the feet of God through prayers. Take the burden off your shoulders and place them before the God Almighty, for whom nothing is impossible. As 1 Peter 5:7 advises, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

**2. Refuse to Bear Unnecessary Burdens**

If you are about to have worries, refuse to bear the burden from where it is coming from. Channel them through prayers into the hands of God – Jehovah, who has spoken and said, “Is anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).

**3. Guard Your Mind**

Worries don’t like letting go, but you can let go of them. They would try sneaking back into your thoughts. However, as the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:8, we should focus our minds on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and of good repute. These are what to think on, not worries.

In moments of doubt and anxiety, remember that God is in control, and His love and power are greater than any worry. Keep your faith in Him, and He will replace your worries with peace. In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Worrying is not from God, and it’s time to release it from your life. Trust in God’s plan, cast your anxieties upon Him and let His peace guard your heart and mind.

In the depths of worry, we often dwell,

But listen closely, I have a story to tell,

Worrying, it’s not from God, you see,

It’s time to set your troubled spirit free.

There’s nothing Divine in these anxious fears,

It’s time to dry your eyes, to wipe those tears,

For if it’s not from God, then who’s to blame?

You, Others, or the Devil’s cruel game?

Worry steals your peace, it kills your hope,

In the darkest nights, it’s a slippery slope,

But how to conquer these burdens, you ask,

With faith in God, an unshakable task.

If worries plague you, heavy as the night,

Cast them upon God, in His radiant light,

In prayers, surrender, release your strife,

For the Almighty holds the power of life.

And if on the horizon, worries arise,

Refuse to bear the load, to compromise,

Channel them through prayers, send them above,

To the God of miracles, the God of love.

Worries may linger, like shadows they persist,

But remember this truth, don’t let them persist,

In Philippians 4:8, wisdom resides,

Focus on the good, where worry subsides.

So, let your heart be a haven of peace,

In God’s loving arms, let your worries cease,

For worrying’s not from God, it’s clear to see,

In faith and trust, find serenity.
