Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.
Dear friends,
In our lives, we often find ourselves excited about various things – a new job, a milestone, a material possession. But have you ever experienced excitement so profound that it can hardly be compared to anything else? For me, that excitement stems from my salvation experience, a gift that transcends all other earthly pleasures. Today, I want to share with you the unparalleled joy that comes from accepting Christ into our lives.
**Salvation: A Source of Eternal Joy**
Remember the excitement you felt as a child on Christmas morning, eagerly unwrapping gifts? Multiply that by infinity, and you’ll come close to the joy of salvation. The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Romans, captured the essence of this joy: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Our salvation is not something earned, but a precious gift offered by a loving God.
**A Transformational Experience**
My salvation experience wasn’t just a moment; it was a transformational journey. The excitement of knowing that I was forgiven, redeemed, and adopted into God’s family was unlike anything else. It’s like finding a treasure hidden in a field – a treasure that transforms every aspect of our lives. Paul reminds us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
**Incomparable Joy**
Think about the most thrilling moments in your life – the birth of a child, achieving a dream. Now consider this: the joy of salvation surpasses even those moments. The psalmist wrote, “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Psalm 16:11). The excitement of our salvation isn’t fleeting; it’s a wellspring of joy that continues to flow.
**Counting Every Blessing**
As we reflect on our salvation, let’s remember to count our blessings daily. Each day is an opportunity to live in the excitement of being God’s beloved children. Just as the Apostle Peter encouraged, “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy” (1 Peter 1:8).
In conclusion, let us hold onto the unmatched excitement of our salvation. No other thrill or achievement can compare to the gift of eternal life in Christ. Our journey as believers is marked by this incredible joy that transforms us from the inside out.
May we always remember the words of Jesus: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Let the excitement of your salvation illuminate every aspect of your life, drawing you closer to the source of true and everlasting joy.
Blessings,
