Describe your life in an alternate universe.
In our life’s journey, we often encounter crossroads where our choices profoundly influence our future. As believers, we are called to fulfill our divine destiny within the Kingdom of Light. Ephesians 2:10 (TPT) reminds us:
“For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago.”
Consider an alternate reality where you did not embrace Christ, instead stepping into the Kingdom of Darkness. In this realm, you’d face numerous disadvantages that lead to a sense of futility and aimlessness.
1. **Separated from God’s Love:** Romans 8:38-39 (NLT) assures us:
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
2. **Spiritual Blindness:** 2 Corinthians 4:4 (AMPC) speaks of the enemy’s influence:
“For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.”
3. **Pursuing Meaningless Endeavors:** Ecclesiastes 1:14 (KJV) laments:
“I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.”
4. **Absence of Peace:** John 14:27 (TPT) promises Christ’s peace:
“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”
5. **Enslaved by Sin:** Romans 6:23 (NLT) declares:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Yet, we possess a choice. We can embrace our divine destiny within the Kingdom of Light. Ephesians 5:8 (TPT) encourages us:
“Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him.”
By choosing Christ, we align ourselves with a destiny that brings purpose, hope, and eternal significance.
In the Kingdom of Light, you find:
1. **A Purposeful Calling:** Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC):
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
2. **Spiritual Revelation:** Ephesians 1:18 (KJV):
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”
3. **Fulfillment in Christ:** Psalm 16:11 (NLT):
“You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”
4. **Peace Beyond Understanding:** Philippians 4:7 (TPT):
“Then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.”
5. **Freedom from Sin:** Romans 6:22 (AMPC):
“But now since you have been set free from sin and have become the slaves of God, you have your present reward in holiness and its end is eternal life.”
Remember, God’s heart is for us to embrace our divine destiny within the Kingdom of Light. The choice is ours, and through Christ, we can live a life filled with purpose, hope, and eternal significance.
