In recent times, we have witnessed a concerning event that has unfolded in our schools – the banning of the Bible. This decision, allegedly motivated by a single parent request, is not merely a matter of vulgarity and violence as purported. Rather, it serves as a smokescreen for something far more sinister – demonic operations that have taken root within the school’s environment. As Christians, we must examine this situation with discernment and a firm foundation in our faith, recognizing the power of the seed and the responsibility we have in raising our children.
The Power of the Seed:
The Bible teaches us about the power of the seed. The devil understands that those who have been nurtured as goodly seed by strong Christian parents, within a Christian environment, and through the living word of God, are the ones who can deal him the greatest damage. It is precisely these children who pose a threat to his plans and schemes. Hence, the devil seeks to divert their paths, using any means necessary to draw them away from their Christian upbringing.
As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:12 (AMP): “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.”
A Call to Christian Parents:
The banning of the Bible in schools serves as a wake-up call to all Christian parents. We must take the responsibility of raising our children seriously. If we fail to raise them as soldiers of Christ, they may inadvertently become pawns in the devil’s hands, causing immense pain to their parents and drifting away from the path of righteousness. It is, therefore, imperative that we nurture and train our children to be Jagun Jagun Ojo Ola, warriors of light, who can stand firm in the face of adversity and uphold their faith.
Proverbs 22:6 (AMP) encourages us with these words: “Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
The Devil’s Defeat is Inevitable:
We must understand that the devil’s defeat is certain; he knows that his time is short. As he seeks to wreak havoc and devour souls, we must remain steadfast in our resolve to protect our children. By relying on God’s help, seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit, and standing on the solid foundation of our faith, we can ensure that our children will not be easy prey for the devil. In Jesus’ name, we declare that our children shall not become meat for his teeth.
1 Peter 5:8 (AMP) reminds us: “Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.”
Prayer for Divine Intervention:
Let us lift our prayers to God, asking for His divine intervention in the situation at this school and any others contemplating such steps. We implore the Lord to swallow up the demonic forces at work and to bring His light and truth to prevail over darkness. May His justice be served and His will be done, so that our children may continue to experience the transformative power of the Bible, undeterred by the schemes of the enemy.
Psalm 94:22 (AMP) assures us: “But the Lord has been my high tower and defence, and my God the rock of my refuge.”
In the face of the banning of the Bible, let us not be complacent or discouraged. Instead, let this be a rallying cry for all Christian parents to strengthen their resolve in raising their children to be soldiers of Christ. Together, with God’s help, we can overcome the demonic forces at work and ensure that the light of the living word illuminates the hearts and minds of our precious children. Let us stand firm, for in Jesus’ name, victory is ours.
