Greetings, Beloved of God. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Today, I feel compelled to address certain matters, considering the battle that lies ahead. It is essential for us to be strong in the spirit, so we can overcome rather than be overcome.
1. Embracing Instructions and Prayer:
In our journey, we must not underestimate the significance of following divine instructions. Ignoring these instructions and solely seeking prayer is not a safe path for anyone. We must strive to keep in alignment with God’s instructions, for there is a designated time for everything. Missing the appointed time for an instruction may result in missed opportunities, and prayer alone cannot rectify it. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
2. The Power of Truth:
Speaking with accuracy and integrity is crucial in our walk of faith. To deviate from the truth and utter things contrary to reality is to engage in deception, and our Heavenly Father abhors lies. God takes note of this detrimental habit, and it captures the attention of the enemy, the father of lies. As John 8:44 warns, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
3. Aligning with God’s Will:
Attempting to assert our will against the divine will, the Word of God, and the leading of the Holy Spirit is utter foolishness. God cannot be mocked or coerced into conforming to our desires or standards. We must humbly submit to His perfect plan and relinquish any selfish ambitions. As Galatians 6:7 reminds us, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
4. Cultivating Intimacy with God:
Approaching God only in times of crisis reveals a lack of genuine intimacy and lordship of Jesus in our lives. It signifies a low estimation of God’s importance and exposes a void in our relationship with Him. Intimacy with God is not sudden or occasional; it requires consistent nurturing and dedication. Just as a healthy marriage thrives on continual intimacy, our connection with God demands the same. Let us not fall into the trap of seeking false prophets who exploit our desperation, offering temporary substitutes instead of leading us to truly know God.
Dear friends, it is time to awaken from our spiritual slumber. We are called to be victorious, not victims. We possess the power to resist the schemes of the enemy and cause him to flee. Take a moment to evaluate your current state: Are you causing the enemy to flee, or is he causing you to retreat? Remember, the victory has already been won through Jesus Christ. Embrace your identity as a conqueror in Him.
May the Holy Spirit anoint these words, and may they resonate deeply within your heart and understanding. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
