The Doctrine of the Trinity Is Biblical

The doctrine of the Trinity is the Christian belief in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Here are some relevant Bible verses that support this doctrine:

1. Matthew 28:19 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

2. 2 Corinthians 13:14 – “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

3. John 14:16 – “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.”

4. John 14:26 – “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

5. John 15:26 – “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.”

6. 1 Peter 1:2 – “According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.”

These verses show that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct persons, yet they are all one God. The Father sends the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Son speaks of the Father and sends the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father. This demonstrates the unity and equality of the Trinity.
