Woman You Are Unique – A Gentle Reminder

Psalms 139:14-17-18 TPT says, “I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me”.

As the psalmist declared, “I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex!” (Psalms 139:14-17-18 TPT). Indeed, women are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image, with unique gifts and talents that can be used to serve others and glorify God.

From Mary, the mother of Jesus, to the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31, women have played significant roles in God’s plan of salvation and have positively influenced their families and communities. Women must be compassionate, kind, humble, love sacrificially, submit to their husbands, and respect their leadership.

A woman’s value comes not solely from what they do but from who they are. They are valued for their character and inner beauty, faith and righteousness, discernment and wisdom, hospitality and kindness, leadership, and influence, for encouragement and comfort of others.

So, to every Christian woman reading this blog, remember that you are very special to God, unique in every way, and have a great plan for you. Do not let anyone look down on you or make you feel less than you are. You are of great value and have been created for a purpose. Embrace your identity as a daughter of God and use your talents and abilities to serve others and spread the gospel.

The Bible teaches that women are special and valued by God.

Here are some reasons why:

• Women are created in God’s image, just like men – Genesis 1:27

• Women are co-heirs with men of God’s promises – Galatians 3:28-29

• Women have unique gifts and talents that can be used to serve others and glorify God – 1 Peter 4:10-11

• Women have been instrumental in God’s plan of salvation – Mary, the mother of Jesus, is one example of a woman who played a significant role in God’s plan – Luke 1:26-38

• Women can profoundly impact the lives of those around them – the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 is an example of a woman who positively influenced her family and community.

• Women are valued for their character and inner beauty, not just their outward appearance – 1 Peter 3:3-4

• Women are called to be compassionate, kind, and humble – Colossians 3:12-14

• Women are called to love others sacrificially, just as Christ loved us – Ephesians 5:1-2

• Women are called to submit to their husbands and respect their leadership – Ephesians 5:22-24

• Women are called to be diligent and hardworking, using their gifts and talents to serve their families and communities – Proverbs 31:10-31.

God created the woman:

• To be a suitable helper for men – Genesis 2:18

• To be an example of faith and righteousness – 1 Peter 3:1-6

• To use their gifts of discernment and wisdom to make wise decisions – Proverbs 31:26, James 1:5

• To show compassion and care for the poor and needy – Proverbs 31:20, Isaiah 1:17

• To be a source of encouragement and comfort for others – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, 1 Thessalonians 5:11

• To live out their faith with humility and meekness – Colossians 3:12-17

• To exercise leadership and influence in their spheres of influence – Judges 4:4, Proverbs 31:23

• To glorify God by using their talents and abilities to serve others and spread the gospel – 1 Peter 4:10-11.

The role of women in God’s plan is multifaceted, including being a suitable helper for men, a companion and wives, a caregiver for children and families, and a source of encouragement and comfort for others. In addition, women are called to use their gifts to proclaim the good news of salvation, to exercise hospitality and kindness towards others, and to be an example of faith and righteousness. As a child of God, you are very special to Him. Never allow anyone to make you feel less than that. You are unique and of great value, with a purpose that only you can fulfil. So, embrace who you are in Christ and use your gifts and talents to bring glory to God and positively impact the world around you.
