Ten Years Into The Future

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

As Christians, serving the Lord is an integral part of our faith.

We are responsible for using the gifts and talents that God has given us to further His kingdom and bring glory to His name.

As a Christian, serving the Lord is not just a responsibility but a privilege. It is a way of life that requires dedication, perseverance, and faithfulness.

Over the next ten years, I see myself serving the Lord in various ways, using the talents and gifts He has given me to impact others positively.

Here are some of the ways I see myself serving the Lord:

1. Sharing the gospel

One of the most important ways to serve the Lord is by sharing the gospel with others. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 instructs us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. I believe that as a Christian, it is my responsibility to share the good news of salvation with others. Over the next ten years, I plan to actively seek out opportunities to share the gospel with those around me, whether it be through evangelism or through personal relationships.

2. Serving in the church

Serving in the church is another way to serve the Lord. There are many ways to serve in the church, from teaching Sunday school to serving on the worship team. Romans 12:6-8, it says, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach.” I believe that God has given me specific gifts that I can use to serve in the church, and I plan to actively seek out opportunities to use those gifts.

3. Volunteering

Another way to serve the Lord is by volunteering. There are many organizations that serve the community, and by volunteering, we can show the love of Christ to others. Galatians 5:13, it says, “Serve one another humbly in love.” I believe that by serving others, we can show them the love of Christ and make a positive impact in their lives.

4. Discipling others

Discipling others is an important aspect of serving the Lord. 2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” I believe that as Christians, it is our responsibility to disciple others and help them grow in their faith. Over the next ten years, I plan to actively seek opportunities to disciple others and help them grow in their faith.

In conclusion, serving the Lord is a privilege and a responsibility. As Christians, we are called to share the gospel, serve in the church, volunteer, and disciple others.

Over the next ten years, I plan to actively seek out opportunities to serve the Lord in these ways, using the talents and gifts He has given me to impact others positively. As it says in 1 Peter 4:10-11, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides so that in all things, God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.”

In conclusion, serving the Lord is a lifelong journey that requires daily commitment and surrender.

I am excited to see where God leads me in the next ten years and how He will use me to further His kingdom. As Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

I trust that God will guide me and equip me every step of the way.
