Anointed Day to you, Christian Parents!
I don’t want us to use the term Christian loosely – A Christian is a person that is genuinely saved by accepting Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. I dare add that a Christian is not only genuinely saved but also baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
So dear Christian parents, are you praying for and watching over with anointed and loving care the children God has committed to your hands?!
It is becoming most important that we do not put our children in a disadvantageous position by not bothering about their salvation – getting them born-again and baptised in the Holy Spirit.
In my Church https://lifeoasisinternationalchurch.org/ and I have the testimony also, by age 6, our children willingly and gladly accept Jesus as their Saviour and Lord and get baptised in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in tongues. By the age of 8, they are very much aware that they are no mere children. Our children are taught of the Lord (Isaiah 54:13) and are well informed of their Divine destiny—young ministers of God – members of the Samuel’s Club. God called Samuel to the office of a Prophet at the age of 8 (1 Sam 2).
Secularly, children are generally liable under criminal law for their own actions from the age of 10, although the younger the child, the less likely it might be that the child intended his actions or was acting recklessly.
Biblically, If by the age of 12 years, your child cannot boldly declare that Jesus is his/her Lord and God is his/her Father with clear understanding – the foundation of Christianity you have laid for that child is not solid. It would be a remedial work that would be needed in the future – God and the Church helping.
Jesus is the pattern-son. Jesus is our template for how our children must be grown so that they are as described in Psalm 144:12 AMPC
“…our sons shall be as plants grown large in their youth and our daughters as sculptured corner pillars hewn like those of a palace.”
1 Peter 5:8 KJV – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
In this day and time, that the devil is working hard to confuse children and give them a false identity using every means possible so that he can devour and destroy them by every means possible; it would be folly and utmost stupidity for any Christian parent not to teach or train up their children in the right way to go.
Proverbs 22:6 KJV – Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6 AMP – Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents]; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
About Jesus when he was 12 years old.
Luke 2:41-52 AMPC – 41 Now, His parents went to Jerusalem every year to the Passover Feast. 42 And when He was twelve years [old], they went up, as was their custom. 43 And when the Feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem. Now His parents did not know this, 44 But, supposing Him to be in the caravan, they traveled on a day’s journey; and [then] they sought Him [diligently, looking up and down for Him] among their kinsfolk and acquaintances. 45 And when they failed to find Him, they went back to Jerusalem, looking for Him [up and down] all the way. 46 After three days they found Him [came upon Him] in the [court of the] temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 And all who heard Him were astonished and overwhelmed with bewildered wonder at His intelligence and understanding and His replies. 48 And when they [Joseph and Mary] saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, Child, why have You treated us like this? Here Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You [distressed and tormented]. 49 And He said to them, How is it that you had to look for Me? Did you not see and know that it is necessary [as a duty] for Me to be in My Father’s house and [occupied] about My Father’s business? 50 But they did not comprehend what He was saying to them. 51 And He went down with them and came to Nazareth and was [habitually] obedient to them; and his mother kept and closely and persistently guarded all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man.
God will hold every Christian parent personally accountable for the failures and improper stewardship of their Children.
Some parents are already facing terrible judgement for their failures in bringing up their children in the way of the Lord and cursed is anyone who leads their child away from Jesus.
Matthew 18:6 AMP – but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
Jesus has a special place in His heart for children!
Matthew 19:13-15 AMP – 13 Then little children were brought to Jesus, that He might put His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 But He said, Leave the children alone! Allow the little ones to come to Me, and do not forbid or restrain or hinder them, for of such [as these] is the kingdom of heaven composed. 15 And He put His hands upon them, and then went on His way.
Do you have a special place in your heart for them too?!. Then show it – do what is right for them in the sight of God.
I speak to the body of Christ – As a Church, there is a rewardable remedial work we are called to do in the lives of these children and may God find us faithful.
