The Prophetic
1 Timothy 1:18 KJV – This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare.
Areas the Prophetic helps us:
1. The prophetic helps us to defeat the demonic.
2. The prophetic helps us to get the victory.
3. The prophetic is the primary key to our prosperity.
4. The prophetic help to please the Father. How do you know how to please the Father? How do you know what will draw the aura of God? It is in the Prophetic!
5. The prophetic help your lifting in life.
6. The prophetic helps you get to your desired location in life on time and in shape.
7. The prophetic helps to take correct steps and stops in life.
8. The prophetic helps build safe relationships in life. You do not know men; God alone knows men. Let your heart guide and lead you. In dealing with relationships, let the Holy Spirit guide you.
9. Prophetic channels help you to see what you’re supposed to deal with on time.
The following are enemies of the Prophetic:
1. Familiarity: Every prophetic flow has a natural side. You must not be too familiar with your own spirit. You must be able to recognize when your thinking is different from normal thinking.
2. Rebellion: For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king (1 Samuel 15:23).
3. Forgetfulness: Dream is one of the prophetic channels that communicate to you. As a believer, when you are going to bed at night, be ready to note down divine communications. Spiritual things are very slippery!
4. Neglect: Do not neglect spiritual things. Some people have a schedule that does not allow them to pray for long. Then develop a rhythm of supernatural flow. If you are not going to fall into the hands of crooked people, you have got to listen to the prophetic.
5. Emotionalism: Emotions will always overrule the spirit. Emotionalism is the assassin of spirituality!
6. Too busy with natural things: Let there be a constant cycle of prayer going on in your life so that there is no quarter of the day that you are not in communication with God. Two levels of natural things take people’s time: Things that are important and things of entertainment. It is a dangerous practice to fall asleep in front of the television. Do not fall asleep, letting your spiritual fellowship with strange spirits. As a believer, always practice falling asleep praying in tongues or listening to anointed messages.
7. Over respect for something physical. Do you have people in your life who are difficult to say no to? If they are not spiritual, it is dangerous. Don’t have wrong associations; be careful about people who make it difficult to obey God. The devil does not easily get an advantage over the children of God, except he first lures them out of protection.
8. Dishonour to the prophetic and things of God. Dishonour puts God off! Runaway from anything that dishonours God. Be serious with your time with God. When you want to read your Bible, your approach to it matters. God respects it. When you yield to the carrier of the anointing, God responds to you. Do not let anything reduce your sense of awe for the things of God.
9. A weak spirit and opening up to wrong flows: When the battles of life come, they will be relentless, and you must be stronger than what is coming. The devil needs to get you to become spiritually careless in order to duplicate negative ancestral flows in your life. WHEN YOU OPEN UP TO THE WRONG FLOWS, IT BLOCKS YOU FROM THE RIGHT FLOWS! Be careful who lays hands on you, and as a minister, be careful who you lay hands on. Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure. (1 Timothy 5:22 KJV). There are two kinds of laying on of hands in the Bible: From believers to sinners and From believers to believers – this requires the elders to lay hands because laying on of hands involves the transference of spirits.
