There is a Hymn that goes thus – it is well with my soul. Desperation is an unwellness of the soul.
The danger of desperation is to want to go after everything, do everything and whatever, so often at the expense of not wanting to know the heart of God anymore on issues.
One can form a routine that looks like it is working but with no structure that gives a clear outcome. One may be expending lots of effort but with much frustration. Faith starts giving way to fear.
One must take a pause at this stage or else (the end thereof is destruction – when you are living in a way that seems right to a man but not right before God) and go back to when you last heard God speak to you.
This is the way walk in it is a guiding voice that we must never be without – the voice of the Holy Spirit – the voice of solutions – the voice of peace.
God is never one to make our life challenging – we err sometimes in our decisions with consequences and we must never forget that we have a wicked adversary.
It is folly that instead of going to God every time – God Who is the source of true and complete help – in a desperate situation one falls back on one’s limited understanding, and intellectual decisions and steps into fear in the realm where the adversary the devil is king.
There are voices some louder than others – but there is only one voice that is safe for a child of God. It is called the voice of the Shepherd one must always listen out for it.
Wisdom is profitable to direct. May these words be anointed to your understanding.
I silence the voice and noise of strangers in Jesus’ Name. May the voice of the Shepherd sound loud and clear to you.
May the Holy Spirit arrest you and hold you back from every wrong and wilful decision.
May you hear in your ears – this is the way to walk in it and be sensitive and obedient enough to respond correctly and positively.
May God light every area of darkness in the Name of Jesus.
