This subject is a critical point between “AMEN” and “HERE IT IS”.
Between when you pray and when you have the physical manifestation, the devil will fight you with contrary pieces of evidence. God has given us our physical senses to walk in the physical world, but He expects us to use our faith to deal with His plan for our lives. While you are not denying the physical fact, you, at the same time, don’t want to lose your faith.
Hebrews 10:38 KJV
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Romans 1:17
King James Version
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
For your faith not to be hindered
one of the major principles you must master very well is taking your mind off the symptoms and the circumstances of your condition.
Hebrews 11:1 KJV
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the evidence of what is not seen. Sight is the evidence of what you can see. For as long as you are looking at only what you see, your faith will be weakened. The Bible says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7).”
When the Bible says we do not walk by sight but by faith, it does not mean we are to deny the physical evidence. Rather, we are to bring the superior evidence of the word of God to rule over physical evidence when it contradicts the word of God.
God uses our faith to take us through the process to get to His promised outcome. But if all you are looking at and seeing is the circumstances, your faith will be weakened, and you will probably abandon faith altogether.
When you begin to focus all your attention on the symptoms because you are sick, you cannot also at the same time believe you are healed; you will forsake faith and forsake your healing.
So many times, people blame God and say, “That man of God prayed for me, and I didn’t get the miracle”. Miracles are from God. And when it is given, they don’t receive it because they keep on considering their circumstances, and when they don’t see an immediate change physically, they forsake their miracle altogether. They allowed the devil to steal it and then erroneously blame God or the man of God.
Romans 4:19 KJV
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
The Bible says in Romans 4:19 that Abraham “considered not his own body now dead … neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb”. What would have happened if he considered his body that was dead and the deadness of Sarah’s womb and kept thinking about the implication of his hundred-year-old body with the ninety-year-old body of his wife? He would have become weak in faith and would not be able to stand against the attacks of the devil. The devil comes through contrary evidence to attack your faith The key is that God does not want you to consider contrary evidence when the devil offers it to you but rather be strong in faith.
Faith in God worked for Abraham because he stopped considering his body dead. He considered God – His ability and willingness, rather than His circumstances.
Your circumstance is already showing you impossibilities. So when you focus on your circumstance, you will keep thinking it is impossible. Abraham considered not his circumstances.
Consideration takes place in your mind; what you keep considering is what you are accepting to be your reality, and it will determine what you experience. And that is why it is so important to fill your mind with the promises of God to refresh your mind with the word of God.
Romans 12:2
King James Version
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Philippians 4:8
King James Version
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
PRAYER: Lord, I pray for grace and power to be strengthened in my mind and the inner man against the pressure of any negative circumstance.
Help me to be strong in faith, even in the midst of contrary physical pieces of evidence.
Let my faith continue be strong in You Lord and not be weakened by my wrong response to the negative things happening around me in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
