Where does God live?
I am almost sure that many would respond without much deliberation that “God lives in the Heaven”. If we go further and ask everyone who responded why they said that, and if they attempted to answer Biblically, they would say because Jesus said so when he was teaching his disciples how to pray see Matthew 6:9:
Matthew 6:9
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
6 Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.
Also, because God told us where His throne His see, Isaiah 66:1:
Isaiah 66:1
King James Version
66 Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where is the place of my rest?
So beloved, you would understand my great concern when I heard someone teaching that God does not live in Heaven, and people who ought to know better were applauding him for it.

2 Thessalonians 2:10
King James Version
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
In these last days, we must have a love for the truth if we will make it.
2 Peter 2
King James Version
2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom, the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
The Bible made mention of a group of people called the Berean Christians, and I want us to emulate them see Acts 17:11
Acts 17:11
Living Bible
11 But the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica and gladly listened to the message. They searched the Scriptures day by day to check up on Paul and Silas’ statements to see if they were really so.
To answer the question about if God Lives or is in Heaven or Not? Yes, God is in Heaven, and He is also Omnipresent – He can be everywhere, anywhere, at any time.
Jesus was teaching his disciples to pray:
Matthew 6:9-10
King James Version
9 After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Jesus said that in the Bible. That should settle it, but for further Study about Heaven(s), see below:
The Bible uses the word Heaven in different verses, but you need to know the context.
2 Corinthians 12:2
Amplified Bible
2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, [only] God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven.
There are 3 Heavens with scriptural backings: Get your Bible (be like the Berea Christians) and check it out for yourself – Let’s do some Bible study.
The First Heaven, the Atmospheric Heaven:
This is where birds and clouds are found – Genesis 2:19; 6:7; 7:3, 23; Deuteronomy 11:17; 28:12; Judges 5:4; Psalms 8:8; 104:12; Lamentations 4:19; Acts 14:17
Psalm 104:12
King James Version
12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sings among the branches.
Genesis 7:23
King James Version
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
Deuteronomy 11:17
King James Version
17 And then the Lord’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield, not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.
The Second Heaven, the Celestial Heaven:
This is the outer space, the firmament, or expanse:` “In which the sun, moon, stars, and constellations are fixed.” – Genesis 1:14-18; Deuteronomy 4:19; 17:3: Psalms 19:1, 4, 6; Isaiah 13:10; 40:22; Jeremiah 8:2; Matthew 24:29
Genesis 1:14-18
King James Version
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Deuteronomy 4:19
King James Version
19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
The Third Heaven, The Highest Heaven (Psalm 2:4):
This is beyond the outer space, a place where no human can see by any telescopic means. It is the abode of God and His angels and “spirits of just men made perfect.” It is referred to as “The heaven of heavens” (Deuteronomy 10:14; 1 Kings 8:27; Psalms 115:16; 148:4). (1Kings 8:27), or sometimes simply as “the heavens” (Mark 1:10; Acts 7:56; Hebrews 4:14; 7:26; 8:1)
Deuteronomy 10:14
King James Version
14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
1 Kings 8:27
King James Version
27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
Mark 1:10
King James Version
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Acts 7:56
King James Version
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
Hebrews 4:14
King James Version
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our profession.
John 8:32
King James Version
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
God will give you pastors after His own Heart in Jesus Name.
Jeremiah 3:15
King James Version
15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
John 17:17
King James Version
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Pray and receive the sanctification through the truth of God’s word.
Ephesians 4:14-16
Living Bible
14 Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth. 15-16 Instead, we will lovingly follow the truth at all times—speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly—and so become more and more in every way like Christ who is the Head of his body, the Church. Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
