God Almighty, your Father knows exactly what you need!
Matthew 6:7-9
New Living Translation
7 “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. 8 Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! 9 Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Prayer is communion. It is never about giving information to the Omniscient God.
Omniscience means God is all-knowing. God knows everything, including the past and future. There is nothing God is unaware of. He already knows what’s going on in your life, and He is fully aware of all your needs. “
When we think that God doesn’t know what’s going on in our lives, then we think we have to take matters into our own hands. In effect, we’re saying, “I’ll be God.” Worrying is taking responsibility for things God never intended for you to do.
There are matters of life that carry the label let go, let God – you must recognise them and leave them alone. Sometimes you forget and hold on to those things – but once you realise that that’s what you are doing, immediately cast them off.
1 Peter 5:7
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
The truth is God is aware of all your needs, and he is a faithful Father. God cares, but you have to trust Him enough to let go…cast all your cares and burden at His feet today.
So do more of praying and less and less until you get into the realm of not worrying – you don’t get much done by worrying or being anxious.
Matthew 6:27-32
Amplified Bible
27 And who of you, by worrying, can add one [a]hour to [the length of] his life?28 And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labour nor do they spin [wool to make clothing],
29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendour dressed himself like one of these.
30 But if God, so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!
31 Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ 32 For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
Satan capitalises on your worrying and he will encourage you to worry more because the more you worry the less priority you will give to praying – the devil knows what prayer does more than most.
See what Bible says in James 5:16b
The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. (AMP)
You will never find scripture where God instructs His children to be anxious or to worry. It is unbiblical and ungodly to be worrying.
But with regards to praying – we have Divine approval to do that in faith without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17-19
Amplified Bible
17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench [subdue or be unresponsive to the working and guidance of] the [Holy] Spirit.
I love the Bible version that simply says, “Make your life a prayer”.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 TPT
Make your life a prayer.
So beloved you have it make your life a prayer and do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen!
Be the prayer warrior God wants you to be. Study your Bible often, Pray in the Spirit often and Spend time alone with God often – Yes, it is possible to be a prayer warrior – what is incomprehensible is to be a prayer worrier.
