Do You Desire God’s Presence?

My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest – #God

The Hunger for and the Honour for God will always draw His Presence towards You! ⁃ #ReverendAreogun

Exodus 33:13-14, 16-17 AMP “Now, therefore, I pray you, if I have found favour in Your sight, let me know Your ways so that I may know You [becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, recognising and understanding Your ways more clearly] and that I may find grace and favour in Your sight. And consider also that this nation is Your people.” And the Lord said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest [by bringing you and the people into the promised land].” For how then can it be known that Your people and I have found favour in Your sight? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we are distinguished, Your people and I, from all the [other] people on the face of the earth?” The Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have asked; for you have found favour (lovingkindness, mercy) in My sight, and I have known you [personally] by name.””

The hunger for and honour for God is critical in our relationship with God. When a child of God tries to force his own agenda on God or strive to do what God does not want him to do, the hunger for and the honour for God is lacking somewhere, and there is a sense of spiritual discomfort. There is always a consequential loss of ease from any misalignment with the will of God. But when a child of God is living a life of (hunger for and honour for God) worship and obedience and following God’s way, he is at peace ‘at ease.’ Not that there will not be tribulation in the world, but he is of good cheer! (John 16:33)

You do not need to be perfect in order to enjoy God’s guidance, but you do need the right attitude of humility: ‘He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way’’.

The hunger for God makes you humble – the honour for God will make God lead and teach you. You will enjoy His mercy and love and always be a beneficiary of His faithfulness.

Psalm 25:9-10, 12-14 AMPC “He leads the humble in what is right, and the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love; even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

He himself shall dwell at ease, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.”

John 15:15 AMP “I do not call you servants any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing, but I have called you [My] friends because I have revealed to you everything that I have heard from My Father.”

‘God-friendship is for God-worshippers; They are the ones he confides in’. The worshippers of God shall dwell at ease, and their offspring shall inherit the land. Amen!

If you child of God has lost the hunger for and the honour for God, you cannot have his presence with you. In His presence is fullness of Joy, at His right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11). Don’t bury your head, allowing the devil to torment you with despair. Repent and go back to God. Let your broken fellowship with the Father be restored.

Joel 2:12 AMPC “Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored].”

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) – those who hunger for and honour Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.
