Bible Text: Romans 8:31-39 MSG
From the moment you decide to accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. You chose a side. You chose God’s side and invited Him into all your life affairs. You received God’s promise never to leave nor forsake you. And God is a promise keeper.
It is faith declaration, assurance, truth and divine reality that God is on your side.
And,
⁃ If God is on your side, you cannot lose!
⁃ If God is on your side, anyone that wants to tangle with you is daring to tangle with God Almighty.
⁃ If God is on your side, Jesus is in your corner; you are on the winning side, yours is the victory, Satan defeated.
⁃ If God is on your side, nothing will faze you because you know you are loved with an everlasting love and things are being worked together for your good.
⁃ If God is on your side, your life is in His hands, you are safe and secured in His everlasting arms and warm embrace.
⁃ If God is on your side, lines fall unto you in pleasant places; you have peace that surpasses all understanding.
⁃ If God is on your side, you are operating from the place of divine advantage.

So, what do you think?
With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.
Can you boldly say I am on God’s side and God is on my side?
We all need God on our side otherwise we are done for.
You can be on God’s side and have God on your side, how?!
John 3:16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:36
“He who believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.”
1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4
“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel…that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”
John 1:12-13
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
John 3:3
“Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Romans 10:9-10
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
⁃ Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?
⁃ Do you believe that He died on the cross for your sins and rose again? Do you believe that He is able to save you?
⁃ Do you believe that He is willing to save you?
⁃ Do you believe that He would come into your heart and save you right now if you asked Him to?
⁃ If the answer to these questions is “Yes,” then I ask, “Would you like to ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart right now?
If so, then pray this prayer:
Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I know that I’m a sinner and cannot save myself. But Jesus died for me; He shed His blood that I might be saved; today, I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and saviour, forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood and make me whole. I forsake the devil, the world and all sinful habits; I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Father, I thank you because you have saved me in Jesus name. Amen.
Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Romans 8:16
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.”

Final word,
Accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord is the only way to be on God’s side, and you, as you continue your walk with God, be well-assured that God is always on your side.
