God is not slack!
God is not late!
God does not delay!
As a child of God, would you hesitate to make those bold statements?
Then I would ask whether you believe the word of God?

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV
This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 TPT
The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
2 PETER 3:9 AMP
Does that settle it for you?
Can you now say:
– My God is not slack; He is long-suffering.
– My God is never late; He has loving patience.
– My God does not delay; He is extraordinarily patient.
For us born again, who are children of God through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, we must remain assured that God is working all things together for our good and we will have the last laugh.
To the unsaved, God gives you enough chances to repent because He does not want you to perish. He loves you that much.

Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I know that I’m a sinner and cannot save myself. But Jesus died for me; He shed His blood that I might be saved; today, I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and saviour, forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood and make me whole. I forsake the devil, the world and all sinful habits; I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Father, I thank you because you have saved me in Jesus name. Amen.

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.” (Romans 8:16)
