Don’t Be A Rootless Christian

Don’t Be A Rootless Christian

Matthew 13:5-6 Amplified Bible

5 Other seed fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil; and at once they sprang up because they had no depth of soil. 6 But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Matthew 13:21 Amplified Bible

21 yet he has no [substantial] root in himself, but is only temporary, and when pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles and falls away [abandoning the One who is the source of salvation].

In Christ Jesus God has called us to a life that is Prophetic, Effective and Productive. This life requires you to have deep spiritual roots.

Your spiritual roots are the parts of your life that no one else sees – your secret life with God. This includes your quiet time, prayers, Bible study, your church assignments, giving to work, house, a man of God and your thought and confession life.

The growth, development and longevity of plants depend on the depth and strength of their root, so if you want to fulfil your potential to the fullest, make sure you develop deep, strong and healthy roots in your relationship with God.

Don’t be a rootless Christian. Don’t be an easy pick for the devil this last days.

Pray this prayer:
Father, thank you that you call me into this intimate relationship with Jesus. Help me to put my roots down deep and to keep my eyes fixed on you. Help me to guard this relationship and never allow other things, even good things, to crowd in and choke my life.

In Jesus Name, I pray that you will do more, have more and be more this year than all the past year’s put together.
