For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
There are God ways and man’s ways.
There is the how God wants things done. There is the how man has chosen to do things.
Except a man does it God’s way, that man should not expect God’s favourable response.
A man and woman choosing to do things their own way and expecting God to respond favourably to them are fooling themselves.
There are terms and conditions in relating with God.
God is good, but He is not safe. As to act carelessly around and treat anyhow.
He is Love. But He is also Just.
Violation of His instructions and kicking against His will is an invitation for judgement.
God instituted marriage. He owns the operation manual for how it was intended to work.
Except we run our marriages in alignment with God’s operation manual, our marriage will be a failure instead of success God desires for it to be.
The estimation we give to God, to His Word, and His Spirit will reflect in our marriage.
Amos 3:3 King James Version
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Two cannot work together except they agree, even much so in marriage the Husband and Wife must agree with God.
Hebrews 13:4 King James Version
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Marriage is honourable the bed on defiled. So what does the devil do? He works actively on the husband or the wife or both to “defile the bed of marriage”.
The major victories that the devil has had over marriages, including Christian marriages, are sexual misconduct and malpractices.
The same subtle moves used by the serpent in the garden of Eden against Eve is still being used.
Genesis 3:1 KJV
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye, shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”
Give the devil an inch, and he will take a mile and much more.
Ephesians 4:27 KJV
Neither give place to the devil.
We must not give the devil any room in our marriage.

John 14:26 Amplified Bible
26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.
There is no vacuum in the spiritual realm, and it is a spiritual realm that determines what happens in the physical realm.
If you will not give room to the devil in your marriage, you must give room to the Holy Spirit.
Will someone say Holy Spirit have your way in my marriage? God, we choose your way in this marriage.
