The Temple of the Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 6:19 AMP
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God and that you are not your own [property]?
Do you know that from the time you accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, you became His and a consecrated temple where the Holy Spirit can reside?
Do you know that, or have you forgotten? Well, The God Almighty has not…to every child of God, who were once born again but has since fallen away – God loves you and hear Him speak to your heart today…do not turn a deaf ear:
Clean up your act—the way you live, the things you do—so I can make my home in you again. Don’t for a minute believe the lies being spoken here—“This was once God’s temple and is always God’s temple!” Total nonsense! Only if you clean up your act (the way you live, the things you do), only if you do a complete spring cleaning on the way you live and treat your neighbours, only if you quit exploiting the street people and orphans and widows, no longer taking advantage of innocent people and no longer destroying your souls by using this temple as a front and an abode for other gods—only then will I move into your life and move in your life. Only then will you be my permanent home, my temple. “‘Get smart!
Do you think you can rob and murder, have sex with the neighbourhood wives, tell lies nonstop, worship the local gods, and buy every novel religious commodity on the market—and then still be my temple, set apart for my worship, and say, “I am safe!” thinking that the label of Christianity itself gives you a license to go on with all this outrageous sacrilege? A cove that is full of criminality! Do you think you can turn this temple, set apart for my worship, into something like that? Well, think again. I’ve got eyes in my head. I can see what’s going on. Nothing you do is hidden from me.

For with the heart, a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth, he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
