The Good Shepherd and His Good Sheep

The Lord is the Good Shepherd are you His Good Sheep?

Psalm 100:3 KJV
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

It is never in the plan of God (the Good Shepherd) for His children (His sheep) that any of them be found in the midst of conundrum of life. Not at all. Rather our Lord and Father comes ahead for us through the Bible and the Holy Spirit to tell us what to do and what is about to happen and it is always to our greatest benefit that we listen well and obey correctly.

Psalm 23:1-3 KJV
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

God is a correct Shepherd who knows the way and Who never leads His sheep wrong, but not every sheep is a correct sheep, not every sheep is truly His…not every sheep is following.

John 10:14 KJV
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

The sheep that would not hear the voice of the Shepherd is already listening to the voice of a stranger. The stranger (the adversary) has no good intention in mind for a disobedient sheep: but to steal, kill and devour.

John 10:10 KJV
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The Lord is my Shepherd and I am His Sheep:

John 10:27-28 KJV
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

The Lord is my Shepherd and I have chosen to be an obedient sheep. I do not hear the voice of a stranger, neither do I respond to strange voices. I hear the voice of my Shepherd…I listen well and obey correctly. He is Truth, He is the Way and He is my Life…He is my leader. He shows me the way and I follow. He leads me on His path, He leads me on in His wisdom, He leads me on in His purpose and leads me on in His will.
