Daily Practices of the Untouchables

Message Title: Daily practices of the untouchables

Who are the untouchables?

*For the Lord who rules over all says to me that for His own glory He has sent me to the nations that plundered you – for anyone who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.
Zechariah 2:8*

*He permitted no man to oppress them, And He reproved kings for their sakes: “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”
Psalms 105:14‭-‬15*

*Yet He did not let anyone oppress them. He warned kings on their behalf: “Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.” 1 Chronicles 16:21‭-‬22 NLT*

If you have accepted Jesus as your Saviour and Lord…become born-again, you belong to God. You have become His sheep and He is your Shepherd (Psalms 23)…your are His son or daughter because He is vitally your Father. Every word of promise He has spoken is your inheritance.

Romans 8:14-16
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

You are God’s chosen, God’s anointed, you are Divinely marked with “Touch Not”!

Galatians 6:17
From now on let no one cause trouble for me, for I bear on my body the brand-marks of Jesus.

There is a lifestyle and characteristics that is demonstrated in the daily practices of the untouchables. That goes to prove that being an untouchable is not just a mere label.

Daily Practices of the untouchables: those who carry the brand marks of Jesus?

1. They spend time with God daily.

*Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
John 15:4‭-‬5‭, ‬7*

*HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. Psalm 91:1*

2. They hear the word of God daily.

The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: *He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.*
Isaiah 50:4

*But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.* And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalms 1:2‭-‬3

3. They confess and speak the word of God over their lives daily.

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.
Joshua 1:8

But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach… For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.
Romans 10: 8‭,10‭-‬11

4. They die to self daily!

*Luke 9:23 – And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.*

“My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him . And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me— we live in union as one ! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!
Galatians 2:20

5. They fellowship with like spirits.

BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.
Psalm 1:1

*Prov 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.*

Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:25

6. Talk to someone about your faith.

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, *woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!*
1 Corinthians 9:16

*For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.*
Romans 1:16‭-‬17

7. They Save daily and Sow.

*Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness*
2 Corinthians 9:10

Sow – seed
Save – harvest
Eat – bread

*Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.*
2 Corinthians 9:6‭-‬8

8. They practice something positive daily:

*Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.*

9. Do Exercise.

*1 Timothy 4:8 “Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for the future.”*

10. They eat healthily.

*Proverbs 23:20 “Don’t associate with people who drink too much wine or stuff themselves with food.”*

*Ephesians 5:18 “Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit.”*

The 10 daily practices of the untouchables was first taught by my Father Rev. Olusola Areogun of Dream Centre lifeoasis International Church…

Whilst meditating on the list of the daily activities the Holy Ghost supplied me scriptures and this blog was the outcome. I have deliberately removed the versions of the Bible verses used and if you are a Berean Christian you would find some joy in that.

In addition the 10 activities we the untouchables must also grasp these 2 things has well as part of their daily practice:

– They Practice avoiding distraction by focusing their mind on what they ought:
For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
Philippians 4:8

– The practice living in the full awareness that they have strength for any Divine assignment through Christ Jesus:
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
Philippians 4:13

I pray and have Divine hope and assurance that reading this message has blessed you the way it blessed me.

Remain blessed.
