1 Corinthians 6:15-20 KJV
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Sex is an intimate act authorised by God within the legitimate confines of marriage…outside the marriage it is still a form of intimacy but one that opens those involved to demonic influences. A soul-tie which the devil can use for immediate manipulation and a later destruction.
Hebrews 13:4 KJV
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
The spiritual intimacy that sex creates within a biblical marriage opens up the union to Divine entries which introduces the union to benefits and not losses. It also fuels a liking for one another.
I have noticed from personal experiences and observations that there is still a very limited understanding amongst Christian couples what the purpose of sex is. You could ask any average Christian couple the question: “what is the purpose of sex?” and they would probably say the 3 most common things that any other Tom, Dick and Harry think it to be…
1. Fun
2. A demonstration of love
3. Complimentary to procreation
– If sex is basically fun, why do people feel violated or raped after such a ‘fun’ activity?
– If it is a demonstration of love, why would people have sex with someone they have no love for?
– If it is just to encourage procreation, why do people do birth control and commit abortions?
There is more to sex and even the devil knows it and has done all he can to pervert it…
“Why the devil Perverted Sex”: May be a topic the Holy Spirit would permit and enable me to expand on in the future?

1 Corinthians 7:5 KJV
Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
It is not safe for any of the two, husband (man) or wife (woman) in the marriage union blessed by God to refuse each other sex without mutual consent. Lack of sexual intimacy without an agreement is a direct violation of the word of God and a permission and an invitation of the spirit of strife and discord. These 2 spirits if not stopped on time from rampaging, in time they would force open more doors to higher demonic spirits to achieve their main goal: total destruction.
Because a man and woman are Christians and had a Christian marriage does not mean they are free from the attack of the enemy, it just means that doors into that marriage or home are Divinely shut against the devil and his demons. Except permission be given or what belongs to the devil is introduced to such a home.
Job 1:10 NIV
10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
Marriage requires Divine wisdom and sensitivity to know when the devil at work. It is very important to take immediate righteous redemptive actions when the door to the marriage and home has been opened up to the adversary by carelessness of words, actions of hatred, dishonourable behaviour, defilement of the marriage bed (adultery) and by direct disobedience to God’s word or Divine Counsel.
The devil is a master at seeking an opportune moment to steal, kill and destroy.
Luke 4:13 NLT
13 When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.
Ecclesiastes 10:8b KJV
8b…Whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
These are some of the signs to look out for highlighting the fact that the devil has entered a marriage and is at work against that marriage:
1. Continued disagreement
2. Loss of time and of things
3. Incomplete joy
4. Indifference
5. Low or no passion towards each other
6. Irritation
7. Intolerance
8. Offences
9. Separation
10. etc.
Once you notice the occurrence of these negative elements, these are the must dos:
1. Immediately start interceding for one another; casting the devil out of your marriage and home..shutting down demonic doors in Name and with the Blood of Jesus. If you are baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues…pray in tongues until you perceive Divine peace flooding your heart.
2. Let the Spirit of God work a correction in your heart, mind and feelings towards each other.
3. Reestablish a communication of love, honour and respect
4. Set out time for proper sexual intimacy. Sex that is borne out of deep and true love and not just a satisfaction of sexual hunger nor what the world has termed make-up-sex. People who indulge in make-up-sex know that it does not offer a lasting solution.
5. Make every effort to continue to bear graciously with one another.
6. Always be quick and willing to forgive each other.
7. Unselfishly love each other.
8. Marriage is bound together in agreement. Be in agreement on every matter.
Colossians 3:13-14 AMP
bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive. Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others].
“A word to live by: Marriage is bound together by agreement and breached by disagreement”.

Finally,
I want to encourage Christian couples everwhere:
-To tirelessly pray for one another.
-To fight together against the adversaries of your marriage and home.
– To be diligent not to open the door to the enemies of your life.
– To be sensitive to know when doors are being opened up to the wrong spirits and not to go to bed without kicking out any wrong spirit and shutting the door against whatever demon is trying to slither it’s way into your marriage.
– For those that are with children be strongly warned, the devil may not be after your current marriage life per se but your lineage, generations born and unborn; so do well to shut him down, shut him up, kick him out and shut the door properly by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I pray that in our marriages and for those married with children that we will not give in to the devil’s deceptions nor fall prey to the onslaught of satan against marriages in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
