Matthew 19:6 KJV
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
The Christian marriage is necessarily a union of two becoming one, a disagreement with the other would mean disagreeing with oneself…#selah. However a man and his wife may have different perspectives based on the angle they are observing the situation from. Interestingly when both submit to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, through understanding and proper communication in love, …what both initially had observed differently harmonizes into the more complete and much clearer picture of what the situation really was. For ones marriage to prosper the husband and wife must come to an understanding concerning matters. No issue should be settled as a disagreement. But as per other general relationships 100% yes we are not in such a unique union as Marriage is…we do not necessarily need to agree with each other on every matter and our disagreement should not affect the love we have for each other (agape).
N.B. Where we are to walk together in the same direction to get to the same destination we must be in agreement or we are both going nowhere and that includes our Marriage life see:
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Remain blessed!
