There is a destructive trickery of the devil at play in the world operating against marriages and it is the suggestion that there is a better option than the best of God.
This message is a warning for married Christian couples. Please read on and do well to protect your marriage. It is well.
Whenever the devil starts whispering in the ear-mind of a Christian husband or wife that he or she could have married better and the husband or wife starts paying attention to such foolish talk rather than such marriage attaining its God ordained blissful heights, it goes from bad to worse and from worse to worst.
Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV
The devices of satan are not inconspicuous. There is a commonality in his approach in deceiving people (including ignorant christians). He will always offer to man the better than the best of what God has already given.
Genesis 3:2-5 KJV And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
You find people that are disobedient to God’s commandments or instructions usually believe there is something better than operating within the safe confines of God’s word.
People who practice sinning often have a deep belief that they can find more fun in unrighteousness than in righteousness.
This is a strong warning for husband or wife, if you have one time or the other entertained the thought or you’ve said that I could have done better than my spouse; and for no other reason than you saw another couple that seemed to be better placed, that seemed a lot happier, who seemed to have it altogether…”do not fall for the satanic trickery of the offer of better than the best of God for you”.
To seek the better than the best of God for yourself is to enter into an alternative destiny. To desire what does not please God is to willfully seek to displease God, it is to foolishly step out of His perfect will.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

I am referring to marriages built on Christ as the foundation, free of any form of abuse and not a marriage of unequally yolked people.
God gave His word concerning marriages and rather than constantly complaining or living one day to another in the belief that your marriage is hopeless and entertaining the foolish thought that you can do better than your spouse – pray in faith and confess the word of God in faith. Stand firm in faith on God’s word.
Marriage is honourable in all.

The success or failure of your marriage will be determined by the truths or lies you process in your mind.
Stop listening and stop responding to any voice, thought, idea that tells you that there is someone better than your God given wife or husband. Choose to believe that the best of God will yet come out of your marriage and that all you need in a wife or husband is in your spouse.

There is a good fight of faith that we must fight for our marriages for us to harness all of the best things that God has put into the Biblical marriage.

I have found that we Christians often seperate our life into fragments and for some aspects of it we seem to be aware that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but somehow we consciously or unconsciously exclude our marriages. Do you not know that there are forces that contend with your marriage too?

Let us stop the constant complaining about our marriages and start praying. We must stop the downward spiral thinking into hopelessness and start exercising faith.
Steadfastly refuse the demonic temptation of the better than the best of God and make a decision once and for all to no longer toy with the filthy idea that some other person is better than your spouse.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I am praying with you in faith, that no matter what you may be going through in your marriage right now, God will work it out for your good and you and your spouse will testify of the goodness and faithfulness of God in Jesus Name.
