If You Knew That Today Was Your Last Day on Earth What Would You Do Differently?
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27 KJV)
What if you knew today was your last day on earth; would you continue to pick fights with your loved ones or would you rather readily forgive them, love them better, appreciate them and pray for them?
Would you start working at being a better person or continue down the path of careless living on the way to destruction?
Would you quickly end years of malice and the counting of offences and stop stewing in bitterness by making a meaningful phone call or send an “I love you message”?
What are the things that you would quickly let go off and what would you lovingly hold closely to your heart in your final hour?
I’ve just got to ask this; would you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour or not care at all about where you would spend your eternity?
And peradventure you are already a Christian would you want to get even more serious in your walk with God?
For those still toying with the idea of whether to receive Christ now or later; the truth is that in no other is such eternal assurance of life everlasting: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil”. (John 3:16-19 KJV)
For everyone alive this hour and who do not have Jesus; today is indeed a present and tomorrow is not promised. The ultimate decision that we all have to make is who to trust our tomorrow to. I cannot trust it to myself, I had already tried to and failed miserably. I know better now.
No matter how we would like to present life to ourselves in our limited human perception we cannot grasp it’s meaning like God the creator of heaven and earth does.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. (John 14:6 KJV)
I have often wondered how anyone could go on day to day without submission to and an acknowledgement of God the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ? I can’t comprehend life without Jesus Christ. How can anyone?
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord , and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones”. (Proverbs 3:5-8 KJV)
You can make other stuff in your life a delayed decision, but I implore you do not let your receiving Christ Jesus into your life be one of them.
I ask that you Come to The Saviour Jesus and Make No Delay;
Come to the Saviour, make no delay,
Here in His Word He’s shown us the way;
Here in our midst He’s standing today,
Tenderly saying, “Come!”
Joyful, joyful will the meeting be,
When from sin our hearts are pure and free,
And we shall gather, Saviour, with Thee, in our eternal home.
“Suffer the children!” O hear His voice,
Let every heart leap forth and rejoice,
And let us freely make Him our choice:
Do not delay but come.
Think once again, He’s with us today,
Heed now His blest commands, and obey;
Hear now His accents tenderly say,
“Will you, my children, come?

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].” (ACTS 4:12 AMP).
“…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
Now Pray this prayer meaningfully:
“Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen”.
Congratulations if you’ve just said that prayer and welcome to the higher life in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
