How To Live Stress Free

When we’re empty inside, our culture tells us we need more, we need to do more, go more, and be more. Jesus says something different.

You will find rest for your soul…

The antidote to our overloaded soul isn’t a time-management program. It’s not a philosophy. It’s not a plan. It’s a person. It’s Jesus.

The Bible says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV).

How can we exchange our panic or stress for God’s peace? These verses give us three important clues:

1. Come to Jesus.
You don’t do this just once — you do it every single day. Daily fellowship. Take your quiet time seriously. Pray and do not cease. No matter what the problem, no matter how deep the hurt, you can bring it to Jesus.

2. Connect with Jesus.
Jesus says we must yoke up with him. The yoke is a piece of wood that puts two cattle together to pull a cart. It makes a load easier because the two cattle are sharing it. Jesus doesn’t want you to carry all your burdens. You weren’t designed to do that. He wants you to “yoke up” with him. He wants to share your burdens.

3. Let Jesus change you.
Jesus wants you to learn from him. Study and meditate upon the word of God. And as you do, he’ll change you in the process. For example, Matthew 11 tells us that he wants to make us more humble and gentle. You might think that the road to real peace would be more about endurance and stamina. But God knows what causes the challenges in your life. He knows humility and gentleness are the antidotes to the two biggest causes of stress in your life: arrogance and aggression.

Jesus wants to give you a better way — but you have to learn from Him. You must be willing to let Him change you.
The Bible says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you” (Isaiah 26:3).

Are you tired of being stressed out? Are you ready to have true peace that only comes from Jesus?
It’s yours for the taking. It’s a free gift to you.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 8:36 KJV

I need Jesus and you need Jesus. I have asked Jesus into my heart and He has transformed my life for the better. I am experiencing my God given dreams becoming a reality daily. I am existing in the realm of divine possibilities. Jesus can usher you like He did me into same existence of eternal possibilities and a life of dreams becoming a reality.

It is very true that there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].” (ACTS 4:12 AMP). Salvation through Christ Jesus is free but you must make the decision to receive it. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NLT).

If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. (ROMANS 10:9‭-‬10 AMP)

Now pray this prayer meaningfully if you would: “Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept You out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear You knocking. By faith I gratefully receive Your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank You for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe Your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen”.

Congratulations if you’ve just said that prayer and I joyously welcome you to the higher life in Christ Jesus. You are now on the path of your divine destiny and your God given dreams are very possible. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
