The 4 Key Facts About Jesus that Everyone Must Know

By Rev. Olusola Areogun

There are four key facts and truths about Jesus that you must know and understand. They stand Jesus out different from any other person. Was Jesus a prophet? Yes, he was! Was he different from every other prophet? Yes, he was!

Many times when we come into the presence of God, it must be clear to us what the Bible has said about Jesus. The Bible says God has given all judgments to the Son. He that honours the Father honours the Son and vice versa.

So you must understand these facts:

1. Jesus is God in the flesh.
He wasn’t just a good man, He was God in the flesh:

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Who is this son that was given? Jesus
Is He man or God? He is God!

Hebrews 1:8
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Who is speaking here and who is he speaking to? God to Jesus
Who is he calling God? It was Jesus! Let’s read on:

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.

Who is calling Him Lord here? God!
Who laid the foundations of the earth? Jesus!

The heavens are the work of whose hands? Jesus’s hands!

You have no victory if you don’t understand that. That is why the Name of Jesus does not work in the lives of many people, they say it but they don’t understand it. The Jews attacked Jesus because He made these claims:

John 13:13
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

Who is speaking here? Who did He say he was? Master and Lord!

They were calling Him ceremoniously but He said they have said well. That is what I am.

Read these other scriptures in your own time:
John 10:38-38
Matthew 21:22-46
John 10:30-38

If the devil has not persecuted you before, these four facts will cause him to want to persecute you.

2. Jesus is the final revelation of God to man. After Jesus, there is no other revelation:

Hebrews 1:1-2
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Matthew 21:35-37
35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

What did he say? Last of all
Jesus is the last revelation of God to man:

Matthew 11:2-6
2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Did Jesus answer that question? After Jesus, you are not to look for another

3. Jesus is the final sacrifice for sin, the perfect, the final, the acceptable sacrifice for sin:

Hebrews 9:22
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Look at that – ‘once’

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

The perfect, the final, the acceptable sacrifice for sin.

4. Jesus is the only way to God:

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Does that make any other way possible? NO!

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Now, these four facts should place two burdens on your heart as a Christian:

1. The burden to tell somebody: If these four facts are true and you know anybody that does not believe and you don’t tell them, you will be guilty of their blood

2. The second burden is that we should worship Him: Else, it is just the truth, the liar, insane or a fable that we just made up.

The first thing I want you to do is to make a commitment to God.

So, put that hand on your chest and say “I WILL NOT KEEP THESE FACTS FROM MANKIND”!

These are the four facts that the devil hates about Jesus.

He doesn’t mind that Jesus is a prophet, he does not mind that Jesus is a healer …but once you say Jesus is God in the flesh, that is what gets him angry

You know why the devil is fighting the world from saying Jesus is who He is, he knows he will be held accountable one day. You will not be guilty of hiding these facts. Amen!

You will pray for men because of Jesus, there is no other sacrifice for sin. No other sacrifice is acceptable, only the Blood of Jesus is acceptable. If that Blood washed away your sins, how many of your family is still in sin?

Every single person that their salvation is connected to my own efforts, I will not fail them. Amen!

Make this commitment: Every single person that their salvation is connected to your efforts, you will not fail them. You will not be guilty of their blood. Make the commitment that you are going to do something about them today.

Lift your hands to Jesus and worship Him!
