Our Faith is Our Victory

Our Faith is Our Victory

The Substance, the Capacity and the Evidence of your Faith Determines your Victories in life through your Faith in God our Father and the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I still find it very interesting and a Divine privilege the way God gives me a message to bear; sometimes it would come as a statement and at other times it is just a word. And the Holy Spirit instructs and constructs the body of the message. As a vessel I recieve ministration before I minister the same to others. All the glory be to God Almighty.

Today the 16th of August 2019, whilst I was getting ready for work; I heard the word “capacity” in the hearing of my spirit and afterwards substance.

The word “capacity” I thought was related to a capacitor and its ability to store power. I was musing it over when this Bible verse flashed in my spirit: (Hebrews 11:1 KJV) “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. I sensed a strong focus on “The Substance” I was then lead to examine other Bible mentions of faith as a personal matter. Highlighting how the measure of faith and application of the same is an individual matter. Please read on, I am sure you will be blessed as you do so:

Romans 1:17 AMPC
For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. [Hab. 2:4.]

Galatians 3:11 AMPC
Now it is evident that no person is justified (declared righteous and brought into right standing with God) through the Law, for the Scripture says, The man in right standing with God [the just, the righteous] shall live by and out of faith and he who through and by faith is declared righteous and in right standing with God shall live. [Hab. 2:4.]

Hebrews 10:38 AMPC
But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. [Hab. 2:3, 4.]

There are 3 things (questions) I believe every Christian must examine and sincerely answer:

a. What is the capacity (measure) of my faith?
b. What is the substance of my faith?
c. What is the evidence of my faith?

Let’s have a look at the meaning of those critical words:

Capacity?
1. the maximum amount that something can contain.
2. the amount that something can produce.

Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing (continued, consistently), (drip-feeding) hearing nothing else but the Word of God. It is (the quality and quantity) of the word of God received that would determine the effectiveness and the measure of faith that one can apply to obtain Divine results. The capacity of our faith is determined by how much of the word of God we can recieve and carry without leakage.

Romans 12:3 (KJV)
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.
Proverbs 4:23 AMPC

…For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 12:34b AMPC

You can not recieve more than or become greater than (in God) beyond the level of your faith in God. The measure of faith you have is the capacity you have for faith per time.

He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).
John 7:38‭-‬39 AMPC

The faith we are talking about is not any general faith but the belief in Jesus Christ. If you have no faith in Jesus Christ, you cannot claim to have the Holy Spirit. Anyone who has not received (by believing with the heart, and confessing with the mouth) Jesus as Lord and Saviour and says he has the Holy Spirit is in error, and would need an authentic deliverance from an authorised minister of God from being possessed by demons.

Substance?
1. Substance is a particular kind of matter with uniform properties.
2. It is the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence.

Now faith is “the substance” of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 KJV

Can your faith in action be referred to as stable and tangible? Can it be called solid? Could it be said that it carries a notable presence?

Evidence?
Evidence is the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.

The word “the” (definite article) is used in English to refer to a person or thing that is identified or specified, also: a word that is used in a similar way in another language.

So we are talking about an Identifiable or specified, true and validated, substantiated and evidenced faith. Does that look like the description of your faith in God?

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Romans 12:3 (KJV)
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Without faith (lacking any capacity for faith), without the measure given to all born-again Christian and the continuous supply of it by the Word of God, it is impossible to please God.

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
Hebrews 11:1‭ AMPC

Faith (in Hebrews 11:1 AMPC) is referred to as an assurance, a title deed, a proof, and a conviction (not limited by the limitations of basic human senses).

– Faith is an assurance because the Lord God in Whom we have faith in cannot lie and He can do all things – He can do beyond whatever we ask, imagine or think.

Luke 1:37 (AMPC) For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

Hebrews 6:18 ESV
so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

Ephesians 3:20 AMPC
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]

– Faith is a title deed because God who has promised will also do it. He said ask and believe that what you’ve asked is yours already.

Numbers 23:19 AMPC
God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

Matthew 21:22 AMPC And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.

– Faith is proof; a proof that you believe that you trust God and you know Him to be consistently faithful (unchangeable in His love and faithfulness).

HEBREWS 13:8 (AMP) Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever.

Psalms 138:2 KJV
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

– Faith is a conviction: I know in Whom I believe and nothing can shake that belief. I would rather die than to deny Him as my Lord and Saviour. To Him I have surrendered all.

Daniel 3:16‭-‬18 KJV
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.  But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

More on the Capacity (Measure) of Faith – a Relatable Experience:

We were renting a flat that was perfect in every way except for a temperamental boiler and heating. Whilst doing my prayer walk one morning, I found myself thinking about the boiler and how that the only way for you to get it to work is turn on the booster switch. The booster takes the boiler from the state of inactivity to a state where the boiler works at such a rate that it rapidly boils the water in it’s reservoir, turning it into steam and this in turn heats up the house and the water for our bath. However for it not to breakdown from repeatedly undergoing this process, it would need to fill itself up with fresh water and this is often triggered automatically. When the automatic refilling does not take place, expert help would be required and that would mean a call out to the engineer by the estate agent at a cost.

God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Romans 12:3b KJV). Every Christian has a measure or degree of faith.

The same faith that confirmed our salvation. But that measure of faith is like the water in the aforementioned boiler’s reservoir. That measure of faith never goes lower than the level it is divinely set at. However, there is faith that comes as stirrer-up when we stay connected to the flow of the Word of God through the hearing i.e. listening to anointed preaching, reading and studying the Word of God and uttering the Word of God.

It is this faith that keeps a Christian divinely vibrant when it comes to life issues and circumstances. As with the boiler where you would need to sometimes turn on the booster switch; to handle the weightier matters of life, we need to stir up our faith. And a little faith stirred up can accomplish great things.

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”.
Matthew 17:20 KJV

“Faith is the hand that obtains what the Grace of God in Christ Jesus has already made available”
– Rev Olusola Areogun

A Christian who does not exercise his or her faith (build his or her faith muscles up) is actually choosing to soon be handicapped. The muscle of any area of the body that is not exercised by being used becomes flabby, weak and the reach or stretch of such muscle is restricted (this a disability or a handicap).

A Christian who does not regularly exercise his/her faith, is a self-limiting Christian and cannot work the works of God nor carry out divine assignments effectively, nor fulfil his/her divine calling. Such a person makes himself/herself useless in the Kingdom, he/she is neither hot nor cold but lukewarm and cannot please God; in fact God finds such a person very distasteful.

Revelation 3: 15-16 (KJV)
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, “I will spue thee out of my mouth”.

The desire of any proper child or a true son ought to be to please his/her father. Is God truly your Father? Do you have a depth of relationship with God that kindles a burning desire within you to seek to always please Him? Are you sensitive to His mood to know when He is smiling or frowning?

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”
Romans 8:15‭-‬16 KJV

Mathew 3:17 (AMP)
17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!”

God is our Father and it ought to be our earnest desire and diligent pursuit in life to continually bring pleasure to Him and we can only fully do this through faith.

You and I must stay connected to anointed flowing channels of the Word of God through perpetual conscious hearing so that our faith is built up and remains functional within the scope of Divinity.

Prayer:
Almighty God, I willingly and actively, fully, open myself up to the ministry of Your Word. I thank You for the measure of faith You’ve given me and for the faith that comes from hearing and hearing by Your Word. By Your Grace and the Help of the Holy Spirit, I will not only bring pleasure to Lord God but I will also do great exploits of faith through the Power and Help of the Holy Spirit in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!

Our faith is our victory. My faith is my victory and your faith is your victory. Let us lay a strong hold on our faith and live our day to day life from the platform of an unshakeable faith and victory will surely be ours in Jesus Name.

1 John 5:4 KJV
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 JOHN 5:5‭-‬6 AMP
Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. This is He who came through water and blood [His baptism and death], Jesus Christ—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. It is the [Holy] Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. [He is the essence and origin of truth itself.]

‐—-‐—————————————————–

I need Jesus and you need Jesus. I have asked Jesus into my heart and He has transformed my life for the better. I am experiencing my God given dreams becoming a reality daily. I am existing in the realm of divine possibilities.

Jesus can usher you like He did me into same existence of eternal possibilities and a life of dreams becoming a reality.
It is very true that…there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].”
(ACTS 4:12 AMP)

Salvation through Christ Jesus is free but you must make the decision to receive it.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16 NLT)

…If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.
(ROMANS 10:9‭-‬10 AMP)

Now pray this prayer meaningfully if you are willing: “Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept You out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear You knocking. By faith I gratefully receive Your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank You for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe Your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen”.

Congratulations if you’ve just said that prayer and I joyously welcome you to the higher life in Christ Jesus. You are now on the path of your divine destiny and your God given dreams are very possible.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
