Divine Opportunities and Our Faith

Enjoying Divine Opportunities Through the Application of Great faith

God is a committed God and He honours our commitment. Genuine faith is commitment. Anyone who has no faith in God has no commitment to God, he or she has no committed relationship with God and such cannot please God.

Jesus’ refusal was curt: “Beat it, Satan!” He backed his rebuke with a third quotation from Deuteronomy: “Worship the Lord your God, and only him. Serve him with absolute single-heartedness.” The Test was over. The Devil left. And in his place, angels! Angels came and took care of Jesus’ needs.
Matthew 4:10‭-‬11 MSG

Then the devil left Him; and angels came and ministered to Him [bringing Him food and serving Him].
MATTHEW 4:11 AMP

1. Every opportunity missed by the devil to bring us under is an opportunity for the Divine to take over.

Then the devil left Him; and angels came and ministered to Him [bringing Him food and serving Him].
MATTHEW 4:11 AMP

2. Every opportunity to resist the devil into fleeing is an opportunity to enjoy Divine Assistance.

So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.
JAMES 4:7 AMP

So let God work His will in you. Yell a loud NO to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet Yes to God and He’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.
James 4:7‭-‬10 MSG

3. When we refuse to give up in our fight of faith (studying, meditating on and confessing the Word and praying in faith and acting on faith) the Divine swallows up the demonic.

Fight the good fight of the faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and [for which] you made the good confession [of faith] in the presence of many witnesses.
1 TIMOTHY 6:12 AMP

The Love of God is a first sided,
We love, because He first loved us.
1 JOHN 4:19 AMP
Divine Love is first and foremost from God and it depends on how deeper you would like to take it. But walking in faith is a both sided commitment, God and you (Draw near unto Me and I will draw near unto you (James 4:8)).

Walking with God in faith ought to be a continuous, consistent, progressive and permanent contract. No turning back no matter what determination and decision. And this sort of faith application is what makes a first class soldier out of a child of God.

Take [with me] your share of the hardships and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him.
2 Timothy 2:3‭-‬4 AMPC

There are broadly two types of relationships:

1. Committed: loyal and willing to give time and energy to something or someone that you believe in.

2. Uncommitted: not pledged or bound to a specific cause, person, or course of action

God is a committed God and He honours our commitment. Genuine faith is a commitment. Anyone who has no faith in God has no commitment to God, he or she does not understand nor appreciate the commitment of God, he or she has no committed relationship with God and such cannot please God.

But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith.
HEBREWS 11:6‭-‬7 AMP

The Bible mentioned 3 types of faith:

1. No faith (without faith): And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Hebrews 11:6 ESV

He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”
Mark 4:40 ESV

2. Little faith:
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Matthew 6:30 ESV

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20 ESV

3. Great faith:
Now when Jesus heard this, He was amazed at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, “I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith [as this man’s].”
LUKE 7:9 AMP

Note the following:

– “No faith” brings displeasure to God and little faith limits what it can obtain from all that is available in God.

– “No faith” gets nothing from God, except what is given through the sovereign mercy of God.

– “Little faith” is contaminated with fear and doubt and does not go very far with God but may still enjoy the Grace of God.

– “Great faith” is effectual, is fervent, makes dynamic working power available: God is delighted to see those of us who believe in Christ Jesus apply great faith. God loves responding to great faith requests.

– The relentless (continually, persistent) Christian https://corneliusbella.wordpress.com/2019/08/02/the-relentless-christian-against-a-relentless-enemy/ (one who does not give room to the devil) will always overcome sooner or later when he or she stands and fights with “great faith”.

For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].
1 JOHN 5:4 AMP

Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. This is He who came through water and blood [His baptism and death], Jesus Christ—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. It is the [Holy] Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. [He is the essence and origin of truth itself.]
1 JOHN 5:5‭-‬6 AMP

‐—-‐—————————————

I need Jesus and you need Jesus. I have asked Jesus into my heart and He has transformed my life for the better. I am experiencing my God given dreams becoming a reality daily. I am existing in the realm of divine possibilities.

Jesus can usher you like He did me into same existence of eternal possibilities and a life of dreams becoming a reality.

It is very true that…there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].”
ACTS 4:12 AMP

Salvation through Christ Jesus is free but you must make the decision to receive it.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 NLT

…If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.
ROMANS 10:9‭-‬10 AMP

Now pray this prayer meaningfully if you are willing: “Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept You out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear You knocking. By faith I gratefully receive Your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe You are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank You for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe Your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen”.

Congratulations if you’ve just said that prayer and I joyously welcome you to the higher life in Christ Jesus. You are now on the path of your divine destiny and your God given dreams are very possible.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
