During a bible teaching session a Christian brother asked this question: How can we relate having power for ministry of healing and the scripture of this sign shall accompany those who believe in me…they shall lay hand on the sick and they shall recover?
For the proper context I would suggest you read Mark 16:15 – 20 with emphasis on verse “20”
And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned. And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well. So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and He sat down at the right hand of God. [Ps. 110:1.] And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it).

Who was Jesus saying this to?
And for what purpose?
It was the Apostles – His Disciples and for the purpose of ministry.
“And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.”

And what was their response… they went on to do ministry with that anointing:
“And the apostles went out announcing the good news everywhere, as the Lord himself consistently worked with them, validating the message they preached with miracle-signs that accompanied them!
Mark 16:20 TPT
“As the Lord worked with them to validate them”… referring to the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. This is the Anointing for Service.
To be qualified for Service or commissioned for Service or Ministry there are essential steps:
1. Be born again – A measure of the Holy Spirit
2. Be baptised with the Holy Spirit – A fuller measure of the Holy Spirit
3. After God has proved one through Divine processing – the Anointing for Service comes along with signs and wonders.
For the Ministry and ministrations approved by God, the Anointing validates the involvement of God. This includes ministering healing, deliverance, music ministrations etc.
And finally, ….
The Word of God + Faith applications + The Holy Spirit’s involvement + The Ministration required = The Measure of the Power of Anointing Activated.
