It was Monday morning worship meeting, our Pastor was saying the closing prayers and I heard him say “I am as a wonder unto many because Thou hath my Stronghold”.
I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
Psalms 71:7 KJV
“refuge.”: מַֽחֲסִי A shelter (literally or figuratively)
“Thou hath my Stronghold”; with emphasis on stronghold. Before this time I had favoured the use of “Strong-refuge” whenever it comes to God or in declaring Psalms 71:7. I would more quickly have used the term “stronghold” to describe an operation of satan in the life of a demonically oppressed man.
Neither give place to the devil. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Ephesians 4:27, 30 KJV
Demonic Stronghold:
This is how the devil crafts a situation where his captive: one who gave a place to the devil or one grieves the Holy Spirit is actively and effectively separated from any Divine Assistance.
Imagine a prisoner not just behind bars but locked up in a box made of the strongest metals on earth and not realising he is a prisoner because there is seemingly room to manoeuvre in that metal box and there is access to many seemingly good but absolutely perishable goods. Such does not seek an escape nor does he asks for help. He is kept in a web of deception, trapped in the region of darkness barely surviving but too blinded in the mind as to realise it or to care.
I apologise for digressing a bit so as to offer that detailed definition of a demonic stronghold. So as I was saying. My Pastor used the word stronghold instead of strong-refuge and it pricked a Divine curiosity in me. And I decided to do a search for and collate Scriptures where Divine activities were referred to as a stronghold. Whilst trying to decide when to begin the research, an inspired meaning of a Divine stronghold and what it could be when it is in full manifest was impressed on my spirit.
A Divine Stronghold: is a Divine situation orchestrated by God. Where His child is consistently and actively Divinely assisted. This child of His knows no other reality and is separated from any experience that is not Divine. He does not have any desire for anything that is not Divine and the demonic has no way of reaching him. He his untouchable. A blessed and highly favoured man who enjoys rooms in the Spirit. Rooms of Grace, of Power and of the Anointing. Glory be to God.
My stronghold (Ma’uzzi) in the Hebrew text of Jer. 16:19
Two Hebrew words are translated as “My stronghold.” The first is related to the word ma‘oz, meaning a place, or means of strength or protection, a place to flee to quickly. The second word, misgab, is an inaccessible, secure height or retreat. The KJV often uses the term “high tower.”

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

He is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

O Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say: “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things in which there is no profit.
Jeremiah 16:19 ESV
Divine Assistance and Demonic Resistance are real forces that are at play in lives. And it is important to be very much aware which one is activated in one’s life.
If God is your Stronghold, Divine Assistance is your portion, do well to greatly rejoice. But if the devil has you in a stronghold, cry out loudly for help. Demonic stronghold (demonic resistance) seperates a man from all that is Divine and join the same to a destiny that has the finality of death and destruction.
The devil is such a bad devil as my Destiny-Father would say: so much so that even when he (the devil) is seemingly offering assistance to his victim it is to no good end. There is no gain from the devil that does not cost the receiver a lot more than they are getting. Any dealing with the devil is a very, very bad deal.
If anyone reading this is in a demonic stronghold, I pray for your total deliverance in Jesus Name. Amen!
Yet the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] and set you on a firm foundation and guard you from the evil [one].

No deliverance is complete without genuine salvation.
There is no other name given to man by which they can be saved but “Jesus”.
There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].”

Are born-again? Then keep rejoicing and pressing on in the Lord, you are in a good place.
Are you in a backsliding state? Jesus has not condemned you. Repent genuinely and return to God.
Are you not yet born-again? There is hope for you:
Salvation through Christ Jesus is free but you must make the decision to recieve it.

“…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.

Now Pray this prayer meaningfully if you are willing to be born-again:
“Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen”.
