Predestination or fate

“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations— that’s what I had in mind for you.”
Jeremiah 1:5 MSG

There is a purpose to your existence. Your life is not just a series of coincidences.

“Nothing just happens God has been working”…I was thinking about this statement when the bible verse “Jeremiah 1:5” was highlighted in my spirit.

What you are about to read is the fruit of a divine enlightenment. I pray you will be blessed by it.

After being born-again and on my journey in divine destiny. God helped me to realise and settle the fact that my life had never been and is not, nor would it be just a series of coincidences. My life had always enjoyed Divine involvement.

“Same applies to your life, it is not just a series of coincidences” if you are a child of God.

God knew you before you were formed in the womb, He knew you whilst you were being formed in the womb, He had a plan in mind for you before you came out of the womb… And if God had created you on purpose for purpose, you cannot be a nonentity.

Predestination or fate?

I remember being in a bible study meeting a while back with some people at my workplace when the discussion about predestination arose. The “theologians” amongst us began the debate as to say that predestination and fate are the same and they proceeded to disagree with the notion of predestination and fate because it would suggest that man has no will and that God has total control in determining how a man ends up in life.

“Fate suggests that man has no responsibility in determining which destiny they choose. This is not so and only the weak-minded and weak-spirited people would accept this”. I think it a demonised ideology”.

After the hot debate about predestination and fate. To help give my dear brothers understanding about God’s involvement in our destiny (predestination) an explanation came to my mind and it must have been divinely supplied as there were no counter arguments afterwards:
I used the analogy of parenting; how every good parent have great plans for their children but for that great plan to become reality, their children would need to align themselves willingly with the laid out plans. Otherwise, no matter how awesome the plan they have for them is, it would not come to pass; and it is not because it is not a great plan but because their children’s wills were exercised against it. God has a plan for us to give us the best destinies in life but it does not force it on us. We have a will. We make the decision to align or not.

I love the way Rev. Olusola Ayodele Areogun expounded predestination. I shall be paraphrasing.

There are destinies on the offer: The genuine and the safest one is the divine destiny; God’s perfect will for you, what He created you for.

The other destiny options are: An Alternative destiny: your own will. A destiny born out of your own personal desires. Driven by your passion. God has no say in it.

Or a demonic destiny: this is a destiny hijacked by Satan. Alternative destinies that do not submit to the divine destiny will in no doubt submit to the demonic destiny. Such people are Satan’s play things.

Rev. Olusola Ayodele Areogun further explained through Divine revelation that spirits are released from heaven by God when conceptions take place. All of the spirits are known by God, there is none of them that comes to be formed into a baby in the womb and birthed that God is not aware off and that He does not have a purpose for in His master plan.

For You formed my innermost parts;
You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:13-14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
13 For You formed my innermost parts;
You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Jeremiah 1:5 MSG
“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations— that’s what I had in mind for you.”

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God’s thought towards us are good. What He had in mind in destiny for everyone of us is good. We are not without a choice in life and destiny. We have a say because we are created with a will. We have the ability to make decisions. We can will as we want to. We can will our will to another’s will. But the best decision would be to yield our will willingly to God.

Joshua 24:15 KJV And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

God has a best in mind for us that is better than the best we could ever imagine for ourselves. His thoughts towards you and I are good and his desire and determination is to bring us into all the goodness that is available in His Grace.

Nothing just happens, God had been, God has been and God is working: but you would have to make a choice to be a partaker of God’s good work.

Fate propagates the false notion that things just happens, and whatever would be will be (Que Sera Sera). Wrong! The fate ideology is orchestrated by satan so that men pay no mind to the fact that they have responsibility for the choices they make in life. I am sure you have heard the saying ” live like there’s no tomorrow”. Well there is a tomorrow and we shall all answer for our lifestyle choices here on earth and ultimately before God.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Hebrews 9:27 KJV

What choices have you made until now and what choices will you make henceforth? Hopefully now you know better that the wisest decision is to go with God all the time and all the way.

Your will yielding to God’s plan and purposes starts with you receiving Jesus as your Saviour and Lord (be born-again). Are you born-again with the evidence of a divinely transformed life?

It is true that there is no other name given to man by which they can be saved but “Jesus”….there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].” (ACTS 4:12 AMP)

Salvation through Christ Jesus is free but you must make the decision to recieve it.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NLT)

“…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. (Romans 10:9‭-‬10 KJV)

If you are have not recieved Christ Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. I encourage to Pray this prayer meaningfully if you are willing: “Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Saviour. Amen”.

Congratulations if you’ve just said that prayer and I joyously welcome you to the higher life in Christ Jesus. You are now on the path of your divine destiny and your God given dreams are very possible.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

The next step after Salvation with regards to your divine destiny is to become a member of a living Church; where Jesus is Lord, God’s Word is preached undiluted and the Holy Spirit is not restricted. If you are not a part of such a Church family, I would like to invite you to the Church God has called me to Dream Centre International lifeoasis.
