Matthew 5:9 KJV Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
In every relationship be swift to choose peace over competition, and run swiftly toward holiness, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14 TPT
James 3:18 AMP. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness (spiritual maturity) is sown in peace by those who make peace [by actively encouraging goodwill between individuals].
Peacemaking or peace enforcement differs from peacekeeping as peace enforcement activities are generally used to create a peace from a broken ceasefire or to enforce a peace demanded by a higher authority. Compared to peacekeeping, peace enforcement requires military enforcement and is thereby best done by heavily armed forces. Peacemaking involves reprimanding the person of conflict and eradicating the source of conflict.

As Christians, we are called to be Peacemakers and not peacekeepers:
A peacemaker is someone who is willing to resolve both outer and inner turmoil inorder to establish peace with others and within themselves. … A peacekeeper, on the other hand, desires to maintain peace by avoiding conflict. They typically give into the tension or steer clear of disagreement to keep others happy.
The peacemakers are happy. They love, and desire, and delight in peace; and study to be quiet. They keep the peace that it be not broken, and recover it when it is broken. If the peace-makers are blessed, woe to the peace-breakers!
Peacemakers shall be called the children of God; that is, they are the children of God by adopting grace which is made manifest in their regeneration; and that is evidenced by the fruits of it, of which this is one; they not only shall be, and more manifestly appear to be the sons of God hereafter; but they are, and are known to be so now, by their peaceable disposition, which is wrought in them by the Spirit of God; whereby they become like to the God of peace, and to Christ, the great and only peacemaker, and so are truly sons of peace.
Peacemakers, not only in the sense of those who heal dissension. Peace is used in a deeper sense, “the peace of God,” Php 4:7; “the peace of Christ,” Colossians 3:15.
Children of God: These are most akin to the divine nature, perfect as their Father which is in heaven is perfect, Matthew 5:48, cp. 1 John 3:1, “Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the Sons of God.”
Children of God – Matthew 1:1. Those who resemble God, or who manifest a Spirit like His. He is the Author of peace 1 Corinthians 14:33; and all those who endeavor to promote peace are like Him, and are worthy to be called His children.
Peace-makers/peace-enforcers: As children/sons of God, we enforce the peace of God. The same peace that has been shed abroad in our hearts by Christ Jesus. That Divine peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We are sent into the world armed with the whole armour of God. In patnership with Christ Jesus; destroying the works of satan. The gates of hell does not prevail against us (Matthew 16: 18-19). Glory be to God. And our feet is shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15).
Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
